There has been a fairly significant amount of time and number of posts burned at Warner's site lately about the Blood Spirits defending York from a Star Adder invasion.
I am curious to see what this narrower audience range thinks on the subject. Who will come out on top? Why?

They'd trip over each other trying to out do each other. When all was said and done, the Diamond Shark or the Hell Horse would coming and wipe up the mess....

It would be a bloody mess with the Adders winning a phyrric victory.
The adders have a huge touman that tends to be "by the book" with Star colonels often awaiting orders. so the size of the adders might be offset by their tight structure.
The Blood Spirits have some seriously trained warriors, how they work together I do not know. I think it would be like having to deal with lances full of Solaris unlimited class champions that work reasonably well as a team.
I think the adders would gradually defeat the blood spirits, but their touman would be reduced so much that they would have a hard time holding their turf against other clans. York would be a useless dustball, barely inhabitable, and good only for scrap for decades if not the better part of a century.
I would be content to keep an eye on the Bloods and crush them any time they left their turf, thus ruining their homefield advantage. I suspect that they have lost the knack for proper battlefield supply support and suffer from "strangeness" when fighting on other than their own terrain.
I would not try a Battletech D-Day sized landing on York. Who knows what the Blood spirits have done to ensure that what ever clan messes with them goes down with them in a deathgrip bathed in blood with the foes flesh caught between their teeth and under their fingernails
