Well it never fails. literally 10 minutes after I hit level 1 some bastard attacked me. Luckily he knocked me back to level 0 before I died, but the only units I have left are 3 Savannah Masters (luckily they were ordered before I was attacked and haven't arrived yet) and my Locust, with my CIC as pilot (luckily he was training at the time or he'd be dead too). Maybe I will just log in every few days untill I have enough $$$ to buy a few Atlases. But by then he'd have like tiple that. And I have a sinking feeling that he is one of the few who is pouring donation money in too. Hell, it's only a game but some of these people really piss me off. Last time I played like this I was in the center of ONE empire (majot landlock) but the guy was nice and even gave me a few planets (this isn't neveron) then I made supplies for him while he proceeded to take over our galaxy. Then he screwed me when I was the only one left, but he gave me a chance at least. Only used 1/10th of his fleet (a measley 400 dreadnaughts).

Much the same happened to me, but I had what I though was a fair sized force to defend an empire out in the boonies with no neighbers larger than me. So instead I was hit in the AM while offline and asleep by 2 large mercenary units. I was gone before I knew I had been attacked, same thing with both of my empires after over 6 months of building and I even donated 50 bucks to it early on too.
At the very least, Neveran needs something to stop people from attacking you when you are not even there. That or a far better AI to command your defenses. Sometimes I think what Neveron needs is a defense system you can buy for squares in your empire to render them immune to attack, either as a rule or as an insurance policy you pay for, so that if attacked, an Assault battalion from the Neveron Armed forces drops on the square and takes on the attacker.
They way the game is now, if you are not one of the few big dogs, you're just cannon fodder for somebody else's good time. And I know there are people in that game who have donated 1,000 plus dollars, how the hell can the rest of us compete with that, far less hold an empire intact while under attack from an army bought with all those donation points?

An online version of B-Tech crossed with SimCity. It's so brutal between players it's not even funny. I've given it up, becuase I have neither the time nor money to be able to defend myself decently.

I've only heard bad things about the players who wait to ambush newbies... What fun is that??? Shows that they are afraid to face real players.....

Now, it's completly different and new, free online game. I compare it to Simcity because you have to build yourself up from nothing, making money, build house and research buildings and factories. And if you live long enough, you buy some 'Mechs and then get creamed by your neighbor, who donated money to Neveron, and has 5 regiments of Atlases.

.... I just logged in and somehow I beat back three mech lances with one lance of SRM jeeps, a platoon of Jump lasers and one Scorpion. How is that even possible?

Just remembered My locust fought in that one too. And I have already been attacked again (I didn't think 0 could be attacked). this guy is different and I have fended him off twice. He has only attacked with light vehicles and infantry, which my Locust and three savvies are tearing apart  But that thing with a company of mechs was too weird.
