Apparently Wizkids signed up a producer for a 'Mech sized film slated to come out eventually.
But...you dont have to take MY word for it...

Sounds interesting. Please note that every live action giant robot movie has been a complete failure. God forbid this should tun out like RobotJox. Still, whats-his-names movies are generally fun and worth a few bucks.
For the purists: don't count on this movie being very strict on agreeing with the canon universe. Microsoft will probably have a greater hand in it than Wizkids or FanPro.

Too Right G. I see bloody bill with his hands in it.....
With the technology they have now, it should be a hell of alot better than that other movie....(I refuse to say the name, due to the string of Obscenities that would follow, at great length...)

I'd take a Microsoft Mechwarrior movie over MW Dark Ages any day.
Every minute there is some smoke-puffing ICE mech or giant lawn mower on screen instead of a Mad cat or Atlas, I will be sad.

I would have to agree with Herod that as far as the Mech assets go having Microsoft running the show would be a much better deal.
On the story/plotline however, Wizkids might have the edge. I have to admit that so far it is refreshing to read the newer MW DA novels as we have new characters, new plot lines, and new twists.

Why would he have anything to do with the movie? He probably doesnt give a Timberwolf's ass or even know about it.
I am gonna give it a chance...cause I liked ID4, and if he can make another good movie like that with Mechwarrior theme...I am all for it.

Sorry but this another sad note for BT fans...60 Mechwarrior novels...really would some care to name ALL 60 of them...and no you can't include the Battltech novles...that leaves you with a handful of MW novels...
Sorry but I won't be supporting or seeing this movie if it ever get's made...
Maybe they can revisit the cartoon and really murky the water up even more.

Ummmm, read the link that Talen has posted and then explain your post in that context.
I'm betting some here didn't read the link your reply is really based on.

Interesting to say the least. It at least seems he at least seems to be familure with the universe, but I'm for the most part goign to reserve judgment till I see the trailers.

Heehee...I keep getting a "Document Not Found" screen.
EDIT: And Chihawks point is that its based on the GAMES. Based ont he POPULAR GAME FRANCHISE; MECHWARIOR. It doesnt say its based on Battletech...or MW:DA. Just the video games.

Didn't say that your opinion is wrong (heck, I didn't even mention anything about it). Talen's link doesn't mention novels at all.
Those that didn't read the Yahoo link would have no idea what your post really meant as it replies to info not in Talen's link.

Ture, but I did supply the link...when asked...so it's there for all to see and the link (both of them) can be weighed together on the subject....

Correct, I was just pointing out that many could be confused without reading that second link.
