For all those people out there who always complained that we edit posts and delete posts and do other things. I have one peron in mind who doesn't post anymore. But before you complain because someone removes a word from your post, read this.

You know, as a non-native English speaker, I sometimes have trouble with acronyms

Until I learnt that SO means Significant Other, I surmised from the context that SO meant...

Sexual Object

I was not that far off the mark, don't you agree?

Wonder what this says about me

Not that it would matter much if he did.

Nah, I don't complain. I learned from having one word in a post edited. Not that I think it was necessary, but who cares. The discussion is a bit more intelligent when people can't fill it up with **** and other naughty words.

I've never complained, have I? Sure, sometimes I wish I had more freedom, but those days are over. mostly because of the kids. And I'm sure Horhiro will back me on that one. If not for the kids, I'd have much much more freedom than I do. In her defense, it's not fair for me to run off and play games while she is stuck there with 3 screaming kids. So, we make compromises. Such is life.

Speaking of freedom of speech, this goes along with the other article.

http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/story?id=1522304

Now, as much as an idiot as I think Burk is, I do feel she has the right to protest on the city (read: public) streets. The sheriff claiming safety is a bunch of BS. The club probably paid him off. I'd let them protest, and the second any of them stepped in front of a car, I would have that peron arrested.

Now, Burk is an idiot because the club has a right to do whatever they want. Just like I have a right to not allow Draconis Combine fans into here if I wanted to do that. It's my place, it's my rules. Burk can kiss my a$$.

I think point has been missed, the parts where some us complained is when whole threads are killed when some of us spoke out about our dislike of MWDA or current events of and about BT and when certain folks who staunchly defend MWDA and BT made it seem that to speak out was wrong etc...now you are right Mordel you can do what ever you want on here, but up until recently things around here had always been friendly and no one was held above anyone, well expect you and Chihawk, but hey you guys were the ones keeping this place together.

Editing a post to clean the language up is fine, editing it to remove comments made about a game is really pushing it, I think. If we are here to share ideas and to express how we feel about something in BT or anyother game, then why should there be limits placed on that?

After all we are all friends or at least get along with each enough to have a friendly conversation on many topics.

If the sheriff can show an increased number of accidents in that area whenever the tournament is being held, then he can stand on his decision. Further, while the First Ammendment does allow for the gathering of people (in this case to protest), it is not an absolute. The sheriff can bar the use of public lands for assembly, as long as they provide an alternative. Which the sheriff did.

Simply put, this is a private board. The administrative staff pretty much has a free hand in deciding what can and cannot be posted here. I'll guarantee you that not everybody is going to like that. The people who do not like that will have to figure out a way to deal with that.
