I have been thinking for a while and decided that I was wrong, and that Chihawk and all the other pro bush people were right. It is wrong of me to be anti Military, anti War, and most of all, anti the establishment. Obviously I am not a team player.
To show my newly enlightened view point, I have searched long and hard for a song that I feel will bring us all together, with what we believe, and what we feel truly is the proper course for life and the world.
So now, without further wait, I will show just how much what Chihawk, and all the other pro war people mean to me, and how I am ready to work with them in understanding. let music be the connection of a whole new understanding.
The Hymn of the Soviet Union
Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics,
Great Russia has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Soviet land!
Sing to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communism's triumph lead us on!
Through tempests the sunrays of freedom have cheered us,
Along the new path where great Lenin did lead.
To a righteous cause he raised up the peoples,
Inspired them to labor and valorous deed.
[Or, the old way:
Be true to the people, thus Stalin has reared us,
Inspire us to labor and valorous deed!]
Sing to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communism's triumph lead us on!
In the vict'ry of Communism's deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land.
And to her fluttering scarlet banner,
Selflessly true we always shall stand!

I sense some sarcasm or something in that post... Oh well, I'm hungry and need food. But for the record, no one is claiming right or wrong here. [food] We all have opinions. [grr.. food] Opinions are just that. Most opinions aren't even based on fact, [mmm.. food] so there definitely is no right or wrong with those. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

So all that was to protest that your opinion is unpopular on the board?

You're smart enough to realize the point he made...

While admittedly there is generally a need for opposing views and dissent, I do recall Vagabond asking us to keep this junk off the Off Topic boards until people can calm down.
Not only that, but there is also the issue of the sarcasm. While I understand that you were attempting to be humerous, it is my experience that using the type of sarcasm that you did is not very easy to do properly, if it ever can be done properly.
There's a difference between logical debate and the useless bickering that I can get just about any where else I go in life. The two, people, are mutually exclusive.

Please find and report anywhere on this messageboard where I say anything about my stance on this current potential conflict.
Please find and report anywhere on this messageboard where I say I am pro Bush.
When you sent me a private message asking why certain posts that called you a coward you weren't removed I pointed out that there were no posts calling you a coward. You now make a post that represents things that I have not said.
Based on that you do owe me an apology.

Well, what we would've looked through is now deleted. As far as Raven's song goes, well, I don't think that was humor...I think that was a deftly given insult.

There is only one post that has been deleted (well, only 1 that I am aware of), and that post was not mine.
Everything I've said (and not said) is searchable.

The music score is mighty, as are the words. You really should hear it in Russian, with the Red Army Choir singing.

Its a truly beautiful song, IMO. Too bad the country failed.

I have no deleted any posts. I don't think I've deleted a post in over a year. And the audit trail shows chihawk as mostly just Locking topics (why I don't really know) _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Once a week (or so) polls without votes in the last 30 days are locked, just like they always have been.
