Ahh, it's been awhile AC. Nice to see you coming out of remission a year later just to start up some shit about the playoffs
Anyways, yeah, we suck. We got owned by a team owned by the CEO of Disney. Scotty is gone, Hasek is gone, and everyone else is getting old....just like everyone else predicted, the team just dosen't have the fire anymore. So much for Detroit's dream of owning another team 8-0 ever again in the forseeable future.
Whether or not this has anything to do with karma, I don't know. Many saw it coming, myself included. The Wings have been awesome for an ungodly number of years, but their time is up. There's around 10 probale Hall of Famers on the roster still, but they're old and busted now.
Detroit....well, we have nothing anymore besides basketball. Lions suck, Tigers suck, Wings are dying/dead, and the Pistons are now screwed in the playoffs. College ball around here at UofM and Mich State is still good, though. Anything pro though, and I guess we're just SoL for the most part.
EDIT: Hopefully, this will work. I've never tried HTML before. Also, "Yankees of Hockey" thing gone. Thinking about it, a lot of our guys were either scouted and became stars, or we traded away first-draft picks for other guys who also became damn good.

If you as a 'canes/Whale fan wish to take some credit for your team I'm more than happy to oblige...as long as they are gone I don't care who wants credit

I just wish I could find a picture of a broom on the Web.
Or, if you want the truth, if I could be motivated to find said picture...

I'm going to have to get a pic of Roy in his "meltdown" from last year, just to savor the memories

Well our Bruins didn't do much better. Except for making Brodeur look like swiss chesse in game 4, it was a pretty damn depressing series.
Oh, yeah, that's right, we don't spend any money on quality players in Boston.....

In case you haven't noticed, I haven't been around BTech message boards in general for some time. But please, don't let me disabuse you of your delusions.

Excuse me? Yankees of Hockey? Since when did D-E-T-R-O-I-T R-E-D W-I-N-G-S spell "Montreal Canadiens"?
The Canadiens are the ONLY team that can rightfully lay claim to the title "NY Yankees of Hockey"--and I say that as somebody who doesn't even LIKE the Habs.

Giguere was drafted by Hartford and was there when Shanahan basically shat all over the fans--it's so very fitting that he was the guy to turn that bastard out of the playoffs in such ignominious fashion.
Don't laugh at the Whale Karma, dude--the Whale may be slow, but it always gets its revenge.
