Has anyone used CAV minis in BT? I was just checking some of them out and I think they look a lot more like BattleMechs then a lot of the new official mech designs. I've never seen a CAV mini so I have no idea how it compares in size to a BT mini.
Alternativly has anyone used Heavy Gear minis in BT? The new scale Mammoth could be highly entertaining, especially if you use house rules for 200 ton mechs.

I have used them. They work well. I converted the CAV mechs over to BT and use the CAV minis for them. Plus I use some of the minis from CAV also from some of my home grown designs as well.
I think they work well enough and just as good as the RP/IW mechs, plus I can get hex bases from Reaper cheaper then I could have from RP...so that's a bonus...

I have a few, They work reather well. They are a little bigger than Btech minis scale wise. If you want to look at some. Go to Mordel's links. And look at Jeanettes Mechyard. She has some good pics at all angles.

I bought a CAV Rhino. It fricking HUGE. I've thrown it in with my Lyran contingency and made it 100T with two RAC 5s and 10 Med lasers. Kewl!
