Hmmm....stay at home in the air conditioned or heated barracks, depends on the climate, and play cards, video games, write home to ma, etc. while Vagabond does it all, or go out and possibly get smeared all over the battlefield?
The hundreds of highly trained Mech Jocks are for the nobilities feeling of security. Vagabond is around to ensure it.
