Let's see:
For this upgrade, the main weapon was traded out as well as the heat sinks. In
place of an AC/20 (good damage, short range, high heat, low ammo/ton ratio), I
got a Guass Rifle (high damage, all ranges, low heat, moderate ammo/ton
ratio). The free tonnage from the unneeded heat sinks also allowed for an
additional half ton of armor and an ECM system. However, I fully understand if
someone wants to rip out the ECM for some more lasers.
Minimalism is a good thing. It's also deadly.

I might take off the ECM and the SL and add jump jets...4-6-4 is incredibly more mobile than just being 4-6.
And if you were against taking off the SL then I'd take off 1/2 ton of armor to add the 4th JJ.

I was considering just taking off the small, which would give me the two tons for the Jets. But after thinking I thought that the ECM might be a better idea.
But you do have a point, tho.

Why waste money on DHS? You don't really need them on this mech, unless you trade the SL and ECM for jump jets.
