Friday morning I was walking through a cross walk and got hit by a car, the guy that hit me drove off so I limped to campus security. I just got a call from CS, it turns out in his hurry to get away with hitting me he ran over a stop sign, and hit a parked car doing $6,000 in damage. Now if he had just stopped to make sure I was ok (wich I am, other than a slight limp and a nice bruse on my leg) he would've been able to just go about his bussiness.

Do not be surprized if you find out when and if they catch him that he does not have a valid drivers liscense I got hit by a hit and run in 1994 and it turned out that he had a suspended license.

I know the feeling.
I was in an accident during my driver's ed class (I was sitting in the backseat of the class car; you also had to have a certain number of hours watching others drive).
In front of some storefront in downtown Copperas Cove (it's the storefront that has the local theatre and the hometown news paper) there's a lane that was set up entirely as a parallel parking lane, complete with yellow lines.
Traffic was bad the day this happened, so some guy decided that the unused parallel parking lane would make a good driving lane to cut around the traffic. The guy also decided to make a right turn on red just as the kid driving the car I was in decided to make a left turn with the light. We both wound up trying for the same lane.
Because the guy was driving in a parking lane, we didn't see him with all the traffic. Our car almost did a 180 and went right into one of the streetlights. Momentum carried his car forward and right into the oncoming traffic lane. He had a head-on collision with a third guy in a truck (from what I later heard, the person had literally just driven the truck off the lot). You could smell the radiator fluid from up the block.
The only person injured was the kid driving the car I was in; and even then all he had was a gash below his knee. The paramedics packed some guase on it, taped it down, and sent him home. So I guess we were all lucky.
And all this because I guy couldn't wait in traffic.

I have always been amazed at the stupidity that happens behind the wheel. If any of you remember the goofy cartoons where his is the Jeckel and Hyde driver I really think that that happens on a regular basis nowadays. There is nothing like seeing some moron drifing along at 55/60 eating TOP RAMEN WITH CHOPSTICKS of all things to put the fear of god in you.

Reminds me of an old Disney Cartoon, Ducking Disaster with Donald Duck. In one section they describe Mr. Walker, pedistrian and his unhinged counterpart, Mr. Wheeler, MOTORIST!

I've see a guy drive here that had Coffee in one hand, lighting a cigarette with one hand, while talking on the phone, going 70 on I-64...

That is one to give a reckless driving ticket to. Then have a buddy bust him a couple of weeks later for speeding. This state has a points system, that is enough points to kill his license.
