Ooooookkkkkkkkk...Well...Harrison Davion is sitting on the FedSuns throne (IIRC), and I believe he is a grandchild or somesuch of Yvonne (again, IIRC), so I don't think that's quite true... 
As much as I might wish otherwise...

Well, you finally did it then. I guess it wouldn't be to bad to go ahead and accept it.  It might be good for me (I still think the Clans are good for the universe). And I can always go back and set a game in the past if I like.

Well, maybe he is Jackson Davion's offspring. "Adopted" by Yvonne? Or maybe Tancred just took the Davion name if he married her. Or myabe she didn't marry, then all children would have her name anyway. Lots of different theories. It's not just the name that makes a Davion of course.

Dynastic/royal families often keep the family name, even for women who marry, rather than their spouse's name...

It's technically not required for a woman to change her name after marriage. Yvonne could have kept the name and given it to her children.
SHe could have taken the name Steiner-Davion-Sandoval.... That wouldn't be fun to write on thank you cards....

Or maybe it's a big ol' loop hole. Lord knows there's a few out there.
And Ruger, now I remember the nuke in Ideal War, but not the Red Corsair incident. What happened there? Also, when were nukes used during the FedCom Civil war? I must just have a horrible memory.

Conal Ward had a nuke or three he was going to pop, but Phelan stopped him...
As for the FedCom Civil War incidents, Leftenant General Annette Leyland, commander of the 5th FedCom RCT detonated 15 nukes (14 on Axton in Wave 3, 1 on Marlette in Wave 4) and tried to deliver another 6 (one was delivered, but was a dud, the other 5 were on aircraft that were shot down prior to deploying their weapons)...23 more were recovered by anti-Katherine forces, and the last 6 nukes of the 50 she recovered from an AFFC weapon depot and that were in her possession have dissappeared along with the remnants of the 5th FedCom (those not killed, captured or absorbed by other units)...
Leyland found these weapons after she had requested reinforcements for her fight on Axton...after being denied her request, she received a transmission revealing the location of the AFFC weapons dept...it went out over the seal of the AFFC High Command, but the origin could not be confirmed...hhhhmmmmm...

So then, none were actually set off. That's what I mean, we see plenty of threats, but no Boom Booms. I guess the idea of it is just scary, particularly since you hear so much about it today.

Actually, 15 of the 50 nuclear weapons were set off. The first two nukes wiped out the Bell training Cadre and a battalion of armor along with a large portion of infantry. The Fifth Syrtis Fusiliers took the brunt of the nuclear attacks on Axton, having only three understrength combat commands left once the fight was over.

They got cornered on Marlette and beaten down. Some members of the command staff is missing along with 6 of the 50 nukes, IIRC.
