That's value for my money. I like it a lot more than the stupid XL engine Centurions in TRO 3050.

I'm working on a design with the same weapons but with TSM, anyone find this interesting, or should I drop the idea?

I only use TSM on mechs weighing 60 tons or more. 12+ points of damage with every punch once your overheating and in close combat, pure murder!

I recently took a look at this design again and I noticed that something is missing... an ECM. So I went back and revised the design to include the ECM.

Funny that noone noticed the lack of ECM (and light engine).

Stealth produces a lot of heat, but if you need to use lasers with RAC it can be always turned off. RAC has only one ton of ammo, that's not too much. Maybe breaking the LRMs to two smaller launchers (old trick) or dropping ER small and half ton of armor would help.

my goal was to stick as true to the original design as I could while making it a a mech that could actualy survive combat in the Fed-Com civil war.

and yes, I too am shocked noone noticed the missing ECM, and I added the Light engine to allow me to add the ECM.

That said, hows this look:

If this is for the FedCom War, you shouldn't have three separate systems by three different nations all developed at the same time on this bad boy. I do not remember the distribution of technology dates exactly but it is safe to say that light engines, RACs, and stealth are not readily available to a single builder until after 3067.

My suggestion would be that you bump up up your fluff date to 3067, find a house that has access to all three [because as i remember even in 3067 some houses do not have certain items yet], and say it is a post civil war, pre-jihad rearmament mech built to fill the beleaguered ranks.

I said could survive the civil war, not actually be made during the civil war. *If you can't tell I'm telling a half truth, that is what I said, but not what I meant*

Honestly I'm just so darn fond of the Centurian that I had to make a Tech update for the little guy.

Unfortunatly my utter lack of manufacturer knowledge kinda hurts me with fluff, it's still a fun mech though, right?

Actually if you look on engine tonnage in your first post you already had light engine.

ECM looks like it was added instead of one ton of RAC ammo and half ton of armor.

Availability to FS
RACs 3062
Light engine 3066
Stealth Not available! (only CC an FWL have them, ComStar and WoB has limited access to this technology too)

Isn't there something missing in the post above?
