==Overview:==
The Amaya, or "Night Rain," represents another attempt by the DCMS to fill
gaps within their military ranks.
Based on the unit's design, it is obvious that it was intended for use as a
covert ops unit. The mast-mount active probe allows the pilot to find the
target, while the ECM keeps the unit hidden until it can drop off its squad or
battle armor trooper.
In addition, the unit boasts two machine guns and a flamethrower mounted in a
chin turret just in front of the crew compartment. Officially, these weapons
are there in order to support the infantry inside of the unit; however, at
best all it can do is keep enemy infantry at bay.
==Variants:==
In an unexpected twist, variants featuring an LRM 5 or an SRM 4 in place of
the existing weapons loads are being considered. It is unknown at this time
why such units are being considered unless they are to be used in conjunction
with elite infantry (possibly DEST) teams as hunter-killer outfits.

Interresting concept highly specialized but within its narrow mission peramiters it could do well I would be reluctant to use it on an open battlefield but it should do well for covert ops.
