And the candidates are.................

2) Atlas
3) Kodiac
4) King Crab
5) Fafnir
6) Mackey (cheer!)
7) Imp
8) Marauder
9) Kraken
10) Devastator

Inner Sphere would likely be the Highlander...
Clan would likely be the Highlander IIC...

IS: Atlas, for those situations when you really need to destroy someone who can't run away.
Clans: Masakari, for bringing death to people before they can turn and run.

Devistator. I have seen this mech destroy double its weight in mechs (tonnage wise) before it took any major damage. Its first victium was a hatchet man it entered the board and watched its center torso explode out its back. Next was a Shadowhawk, then a Rifleman, the final mech it took out was a Marauder. A lance of this mech is about the most deadly force you can meet.

Devastators are nice, but personally I tend to go for either the Awesome or the Stalker. The Atlas is nice as well; I love the look of growing fear on an opponent's face when he realizes he's caught in a pincer maneuver, and my Atlas is steadily approaching.

My favorite reaction is when they remember that all of those 20 pts of damge go to 1 location.

And I've taken one out with a new tech Zeus, 2 old tech Locusts and a bunch of infantry...
Use the 'Mechs to open the holes, and the infantry in hardened buildings to exploit them...

Fafnir. Its easy to use, his twin weapons have devastating effect both on armor AND psychology PLUS it works well with sniper tactics, when Fafnir acts like a decoy: nobody want to come close to it and u keep opponents at bay!
