This story was Original posted on HMP where Cray is a frequent contributer A lot of the stories on Medrons site originate on HMP cray is one of a number of writers that post up excellent fiction there If you want to see more of his work you can find a link to the Heavymetal forum in the links site here.

I'm not touching anything that Cray does without a ten foot pole, anyway, it's about the Clans so I'm not reading that either.

And Might I enquirer as to why the mention of Crays Handle provokes such an extreme reaction.To delete an entire site because one person frequents it seems to me rather a huge amount of overkill.

| I think you are overreacting; just because something has to do with the Clans does not automatically mean it is garbage. A lot of the most human fiction to come out of battletech has to do with the Clans. This particular story is not so much as battletech as it is hard military sci fi.

Actually, I don't know Cray, but I read the story, and he did a good job. It was rather interesting, and I liked the planetary effects he wound into the story.

Cray writes a lot of good stuff he is quite popular on HMP I do not understand Vampires post I have not seen nor heard about ANYTHING that would justify the kind of reaction Vampire is displaying.I find his post most puzzling as Cray is popular and well liked on HMP

Ok people, cool down. I was merely being sarcastic, it's nothing personal. I should have added a smiley at the end of it. This will teach me not to give free publicity to "enemies" *grin*
I was just taking a cheap shot since I cordially detest Cray, and I think he's vastly overrated as some sort of Battletech guru, wich he certainly isn't. After all the holes I've found in his logic in many arguments at Sarna.net and CBT I'm very critical with any of his postings. At best I give him a 50% rate of being right in any given issue.
Actually I really don't dislike Cray at all, I think I associate him with the mob at Sarna.net that moved over to CBT. I live in perpetual terror that some of these people uncover the existence of this paradise board

I don't think you have to worry about the Sarna "mob" coming over here too much. This board has never held the right flavor for them. I think there are too many dissenters here for their tastes.

I am glad to see that you were being tongue in cheek Vampire (next time use the winkling smiley) over at HMP cray is not so much considered a rules guru as a good writer over there we really like good story telling people like Cray,Grey's Shadows ,Medron Pride,and the Wobblie Guy to name a few produce some excellent fiction it is for the fiction such as the piece linked to at the top that he is most renowned.
