What is the best ratio for lasers to ACs on a heavy mech?
Is like 3 laser for one AC? Or is more like this:
AC10/2 LL or 4 Medium Lasers?
Any ideas on this?

Presuming I had a decent amount of heat sinks I like the AC10/2LL approach.

So two for one is a good starting point for that class of mech?

Same here. 2 LL are great for opening up the armor. And the AC10 to look for the crits.

Well, 4LL would be better
Sometimes it depends on what you are planning on doing with the mech.

Yeah. For urban combat I would definitely prefer the AC20/4ml mech.

I'm a fan of the Orion and Perseus, so I like a AC 10/LRM/SRM/2 ML loadout.

I like your design a lot. Although I agree with the general statement that the game is too focused on heav and assault mechs I do think there's room for more well designed 5/8 heavies (no, that's not sarcasm).
16 million for a heavy? Seems damned expensive if you're playing a campaign.

Ifi i had to pay that much, I'd go for a LB-10X or a Guass rifle.
Sir Henry.
