Today, April 3rd 2004, I recieved a letter in the mail informing me that I have qualified to
join the Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society (which is odd as I’m a business major.
Go fig).
All I know is that a few days ago, I got a fortune cookie which said “The world
will soon be ready to recieve your talents.” Methinks I’m going to have to frame it.

You're supposed to add "in bed" after reading your fortune.

No thanks, I would rather not 'receive his talents'

Wonder how many people's veins I'll make burst should they find out that most of my writing practice for the past 15+ months was in the form of fan-fiction.

I don't know, but let me know before you tell them. I want to sell tickets. I'm sure there's a lot of people who would like to see their heads explode....

Posting on boards also helps your typing skills.

The main thing is that fan fiction counts as what has been termed "creative writing." CW is considered legit as far as English goes (there are high school and college courses dealing with the topic) so no matter how shocked they are it's all still legitimate.

The truth of the matter is that these Message boards are excellent places to improve both computer and writing skills I first came on line about 14 months ago knowing very little about computers and with passable writing skills the former have improved greatly since I first came on line and more recently I have been doing a lot of creative writing (mostly on HMP) and the feedback has cause me to improve that skill greatly.to the point that I have become a rather heavy contributer to the FanFic Forum on HMP.

| True but it is a whole lot better than it was ...and some of the typing problems can be traced to my poor battered keyboard.
