According to VH1 Classic, Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio) has announced that he will be forming Hear N' Aid for the second time.
When Dio first formed the group in the mid-80's, it was to be the metal world's response to such acts as Band-Aid, USA For Africa, and Northern Lights. This time around, however, the proceeds are slated to go to the victims of child prostitution.

Now that is seriously messed up.
I do like the title of it though. That is much better than most of the other XXXXXX-aid concerts from the 80's. Some of them were getting kind of cheesy. It also shows that Heavy Metal rockers are human beings not just angry guys who scream a lot.

Metallica is involved with RAINN (an anti-sexual harrasment group), and Savatage/Trans-Siberian Orchestra has been real involved in MADD and its spin-offs after one of their members was killed by a drunk driver.
