I received by posta couple of week ago
Combat operation.
I found it very interesting and complex.
So a friend of mine who instead got
FedCom civil war and me decided to lend
each other in exchange the volume,
plus I gave him cpellan conf. FM and
he gave me Shattered Sphere.
This was the piece of mosaic missing in my
mind about the last things happened in
the IS.
I connect many things that I read in tro
but other than languge barrier I totally miss
some events(like the destruction of smoke
jaguar,refoundation of star league etc)
So I read almost 50 page of civil war and
looking in the last pages I saw the list
of variuos planets(like explorer corps)
and this make wonder if could exist also
a real map(like terra in BF2) for this planets.
I think should be very funny idea to create
maps from thousand planet(and maybe
a good business also)
what do you think about?

I don't know if a post Clan Invasion Map was ever created. It would be cool to have one, especially for those who like to visually situate a planet. A very helpful tool for those players who create their own campaigns or scenarios.

If you check the links page here, there are a couple of sites that have post clan invasion maps. I cnanot remember which ones, but I do remember seeing maps the show the progress of the attacks and post treaty maps.

I have noticed the language barrier that you refer to... You may find this site interesting .I am using it to translate this message to Italian, A language for which I know at best half a dozen words to illustrate the usefulness of this site

Ok guys, I think you missed his intention here. He was talking about creating planetary maps, not spacial maps showing planet locations. It would be a very big project to create a map for every single planet in known space. However a big step towards this is at the inner sphere mapping project (don't have web addy handy atm) with their detailed description of climate and such on each planet. It helps to know if a planet is an arid dustball or a frigid wasteland when creating maps. In fact MegaMekNET uses this information in it's own planet system so that it has Generated Terrain based on what the planet is like. If it is a very mountainous planet then it will use maps with high concentrations of mountains. a very interesting feature. But all and again, creating paper maps of every plant for use with battleforce 2 would be impractical considering that BF2 isnt hardly played anymore and it would be around 3,000 maps (the ismap site tells exactly how many)

Ralgith thank you.
You focused the real "matter".
I was talking about BF maps x planetary assault.
As you say there are thousand of planets
but no one map about.
I saw in civil war volume all the description
type of star, satellite,atmosphere,life native
population ect,and where maps are?
Utopia?

Point well taken Ralgith!
Unfortunately, there are only a select few planets that have been "mapped" and given a sufficient level of detailed analysis to provide real world-like stats. I think it will have to be the imagination of the player or GM that creates the world for you. There are a couple of programs available that will help you create a planet using plugged in terrain percentages. The rest is randomly created.
It would be nice if someone would recognize the financial benefits of creating maps for planetary assaults (it could even be game system non-specific). Thee is always the "legal rights" issue.

This is very true. I use a planetary map to keep track of all on-planet units in our online campaign we play. it helps to know when where, and who to strike
