My rank changes? How does that happen?

good thing it doesnt go by time in service, we would all probly be a few years before we could reach each faction's version of sargent

Like chihawk says, it's all about number of posts. Although at some point I may try to change this to something more realistic. Since this site is user drives with reviews and what posts, I may try to incorporate both of them with an increased bonus to more recent activity. Which sort of makes sense. Your rank would never drop, but if you went away for 6 months and came back, it would take a lot more effort to get that next rank increase.

I agree. Every user input activity possible on the site should have an impact on the rank. At least that's my opinion. Just because you don't post doesn't mean you should stay a private. What if you submit a ton of reviews and stuff? That should count for something.

Just my opinion, but posts on the board should be the only thing that raises your rank...you get credits for the other things and with those credits you can buy a custom rank.

But you get 1 credit per approved post on board also.
Would the rank adjustments for previous things be done if you add a rank structure for them? I don't really care either way since my rank means diddly to me I am however curious 
Now I might care if you implement an enhancement I'm gonna write up later after I've thought it out more.

But if you posted 1,000 messages and all were disapproved you'd still go up in rank as you made the posts...the credit system and ranks are not connected in any manner excepting that you can buy a custom rank.

No, not at all...
The quantity of your posts determines what rank you are, but even if you had a million posts that alone doesn't get you a custom rank.
Credits are given for a multitude of things (one of which happens to be the quality of your posts) and credits are good to purchase things from the site (one of which happens to be a custom rank).
They are both entirely different things...

So does tah tmean that the posts I've done the past several days aren't quality posts?
Just curious as I haven't seen a rise in my cred for the posts I've done recently. I figured that you no longer got cred for posts just rank.
