My local SCA group here is doing a re-creation of the Battle of Hastings for the second year this October. Last year the Vikings won the battle of Stamford bridge so they had to take on the Normans attacking fromt he south at the actual battle of Hastings. So officially for the last year England has been Norse-Saxon instead of Norman saxon.

We are still working on a new site this year. Most of the fighters somplained about the hill being too steep last year. All we know is that it will be within 1/2 an hour from Mansfield, OH. We are about half way between Columbus and Cleveland right on I-71. The guy running the event is still looking around the area for a new site. We also had problems with the cost of the first one. Our group lost about $150 - $200 on last years event.
