Fox smiles at Sir Henry. "Don't be too impressed, sir. It's even clumsier without somebody inside it. I can't really even get it to walk. More like a shuffle. Or if I need it to move fast....a stumble." Fox connects the bundle to the hub, and moves the chain fall back over the actuator. He uses the remote to make the exoskeleton let go of the bundle and begins cranking it back as the mynomer stretches. "Ah, the pulley...where would mankind be without this simplest of devices?" He continues until the bundle is even with the connecting pin. "Seraph, can you get that? Preferably without snapping it back against you. That would hurt."

(casting a suspicious glance at the exoskeleton, Seraph climbs up to the connection point with the pin)
Can you move it a little to the left?
My left!!!! _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

Doesn't matter Joe, it's the idea I was taking about. A little refinement on the interface and you'll be able to make that Exo dance...
Seraph, always specify directions by adding perspective. My Left...Your Left.... Your other Left...

Fox moves the bundle to Seraph's left. "Let's get this done Seraph, I get the feeling I have a message waiting in the bar." He holds everything steady.

Alright just don;t move it.
(pushes the pin in, it sticks)
Of all the.....
(smacks the pin with his hand)
Ow, darsh garn it!
Hey could one of you hand me that hammer?
(pounds the pin into position and locks it with retaining rings)
Whew. Thanks guys. Now ease up on the pressure and see if the brackets hold.
(hops down and backs away incase the structure fails) _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

Joe, move the Exo over there next to the leg. If it fails, the Exo can give us a saftey zone...

Fox nods, and uses the remote to shuffle the pilotless machine over next to the leg as he starts to release the tension in the chain, letting the structure take the stress.

Mordel turns to the newcomer and gives him the once over, trying to determine if he will be any trouble. Upon deciding he won't, he says, "Man said there would be a keg waiting. That's better than a beer in my book. Ya better hurry on and catch up to him though before the other lushes drink it all."

(a great groaning sounds from the frame and joint structure)
Umm....the frame has the pressure now?
(a dull screech followed by an occasional pinging sound permeats the hangar, a few souls from the bar come in to see the commotion)
Whew! It's holding. Thanks for your help guys it's been much easier than if I'd have had to do this alone.
(climbs up and inspects the brackets)
They look like they're gonna hold.
(hooks up the power leads to the myomer recepticals)
Stand back a bit and I'll flex the leg some.
(climbs up to the cockpit and manipulates the controls)
How's it look?
(the leg seems to operate normally, for a Scorpion that is) _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

Fox watches, using the remote to shuffle the exoskeleton back over by the dissassembled Hatchetman. "It looks like it would shake you to pieces while you walk. In other words, it's in operational perimeters for a Scorpion."

Okay guys, again thanks for your help.
Hey Mordel, the beer keg is in that cooler over there.
(points to a chest cooler with a water-cooled heatsink attached to it with a solar panel on top of it)
Keg's tapped and it's an import from Outreach. Mugs are in the cooler too. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

Mud wakes up from a drunken stupor in the corner of the bar.
