Looking back at this topic, I can see where the main loyalties lie here. Draconis and Fed Suns take the 1st 2 spots. So does that mean that members of those two houses are more devoted?

No. It means they've got cool ranks. I'd never wish to be part of a military-driven society, but they've got cool ranks. That's a must in order to make people sign up for service as soldiers.

Well it seems I'm a traitor, chose TC over DC. As I said if it was a uniform thing, then it is DC.
But in the books and the following, those are the big two houses for players.

My only wish with the Cappies is that they'd get the spelling modernised for the ranks... the Cap-Con uses a mix of Mainland China (now standard) romanisation, the old Wade-Giles and the even older wierder than weird Dutch invented version that graces the signs in Taiwan + occassional Cantonese romanisation.
Frankly it ticks me off.

Trooper
Sergeant
Lieutenant
Captain
Major
Commander (Me)
I went for a simple rank structure, because I always felt that "Master Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, Gunnery Sergeant, etc., 1st/2nd Lieutenant, Major General, Rear Admiral, etc. was just too damn complicated.
Basically, Commander is equal to Colonel, and from there on down.
