Why does the Vehicle factory not allow IS vehicles to mount the following items?
LB-X AC's (2,5,20)
UAC's (2,10,20)
Clan: light And heavy machine guns
Are they just not in the database or can you not actually mount em?
Personaly I love vehicles in matches, I tend to field mixed vehicle and mech forces. One time my friend and i played a scenario on our own map (a land bridge). Which was tightly bottlenecked and surrounded by high cliffs, and deep water on the opposite side. He defended the pass with an Enforcer, Imp and Owens, and my custom vehicle the Barrager which mounts 6LRM20's with Artemis.
He also used his hovercraft and a Penetrator and Zeus to move through the deep water to outflank my forces.
Basically, nothng BUT the Barrager won the day for him. It destroyed a Mad-Cat, Uller, Demolisher Gauss and severly crippled my Gladiator.
It was however destroyed by my Stingfire custom light tank. The first point of cluster damage from an LB-X-5 got a fuel tank explosion!
Anyone else find vehicles extremely valuble, if so, which type.
I also find that vehicle fights make for quick games, we played an 8 on 8 tank battle which lasted an hour and a half. An equal sized Mech battle would take the best part of a day.
If anyone would like to see the readouts for my customs just ask or PM. Thanx
Wanallo

The best vehicle in the game is the Po heavy tank. (here my Capellan sympathies are coming to the fore). Cheap, reliable, and it packs a heavy punch. If I can upgrade it, I replace the AC/10 with an LB-10X, giving me a cluster shot capability. It's also logistically friendly, and doesn't mount an expensive fusion engine, meaning you can hire mechanics to fix it instead of techs. The Vedette is also nice, but a little undergunned. If I've got the c-bills to splurge, I go for the Myrmidon. Nice and quick, with a heavy hitting weapon for fighting 'mechs and the SRM launcher for crit-searching vs. vehicles.

Yes, I'd agree with the Po, Mymidon and Vedette, I also like the Condor and the ultra light Hovercraft and vehicles. I have created lots of Hum-Vee's (5 ton wheeled), which are fun to use.
Otherwise I like to use LB-X AC's. because the oppertunity for a critical is brilliant on vehicles. Its great when the first point of cluster damage blows up a vehicle through a critical!
Vehicle games are fun, they are a slight variation from Mechs and change the angle of the combat slightly.

If i could use level three rules, ilike Kangas..
Like the Po as well, have to agree with about it.
Other favourite vehicles are:
The Savannah Master (Speed speed speed.. cheap too)
The Regulator Hovertank (Gauss Rifle)
Yellow Jacket and Hawk Moth VTOLs.
The Hetzer is also a nice vehicle.

As you mentioned the Regulator, don't forget the Saladin. It's an AC/20 that goes 8/12. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

I prefer the ones with the spreadable damage to the chunky ones, things such as SRM's, LRM's, Med lasers, LBX's and Machine guns, or the lighter ACs
The weapons you can fit loads on a vehicle or have alot of spreadable firepower. Its always fun to hit hovercraft lift fans over water!
