I'm in, let me go get my gear.

OOC: a campaign sounds great!

Outside the B&G, Ronin hears (more like feels) an explosion from behind him.

"What the frak was that?!?!"

Those guys were packing way too much heat for a search and rescue team... they looked more like an extended duration Search and Destroy team. Someone should have suggested that they put out their smokes while they were gearing up.

Well, better hurry up and get my gear...

OOC: mud, that was funny, and I agree. People were bringing in a lot of stuff for a search and rescue, especially through a narrow tunnel.

*One-eye crackles over radio.* i am returning.*One-eye, after a half hour or so comes out of the kitchen*It looks like i t opens up in to a carvenous system after about a hundered yards. My scanners say mordel has built this bar over a large deposit of Platinum,Galena, and Iridium.

Please read the role playing rules. You are not allowed into the kitchen.

ooc:

first, i agree. this is the very reason we have the no weapon rule. to much postering on a bigger weapon and no thinking.

second, as far as i am concerned most of one_eye's posts don't exist and the same goes for the cigerate bit. mordel gave leave to allow weapons, BUT DID NOT give leave for anyone to enter the kitchen or blow the place up.

third, mordel is running this show, so you either wait for him or withdraw yourself from this bit of BnG Fun.

fourth, we are/willbe entering the land of grey matter. if i could fit it down that hole, i would take a Battlemech. ALOT of firepower is not the exception here. it is the prerequesite.

all that said, everyone relaxe. wait. stop the MY GUNS BETTER responces. carry only what you reallisticaly can carry. ie: my character has 2 guns, 2 blades, and compact supplies.

this has been a message from your friendly local moderator.

ooc: I didn't really think that the B&G went up in smoke(s?), I just thought I'd play off of it for the moment.

My character is still out getting his gear... he should arrive with it just about when Mordel starts organizing us for the expedition (when he starts the roleplaying posts... asking what we have, etc.)

In the mean time, I guess we can all just consider this a "warm-up"... thinking about what to bring, roleplaying beyond the usual " a round on me, guys!", etc.

Hmm *Looks at the tool kit*
"I think there is one more thing I need"
*goes out to Scrap van and comes back with what looks like a bundle of steel rods with some wheels attatched.*
"Watch this"
*takes the bundle and gives a tug here and a tug there and sides some latches and next thing there is a small cart that can carry the bulkier items in the Scrappers kit*
"That should enable me to bring my toys through that tunnel.I have a feeling that these tools will be of more use than all that ordanance"

You are insain if you think that Mo. Oh that is right, you have never encountered the Grey Menace before. It makes Simians and Blackholes look friendly. Down right nasty stuff.

--Vagabond fiddles with hois equipment for a second.--

In fact, only one person has ever faced the Grey Menace before and stayed around to tell us about it. He is who we are looking for on the journey.

I'd rather face a acid blooded alien with a butter knife then go down there, but Deadfish is my compadre; i stick by my comrades.

Aren't you going to bring any for Dead-Fish... you know, for medicinal purposes?

Ronin returns to the B&G with a duffel bag slung over his should. He goes to his usual table, opens the bag, and starts sorting through the equipment, deciding what to bring and what to leave behind.

"Hey guys, while we're waiting on Mordel, shouldn't we start to do a preliminary checklist... figure out we'll probably need, organize ourselves based on assignments, and distribute the gear accordingly? I'm thinking we'll need medics, scouts, fire-support, maybe even a demolitions person or two. Any other skills that people have here that will come in handy. Stinger, can you have your medevac helos on standby? We'll need a driver and vehicle on standby also. Oh, I think we also need someone to watch the B&G while the rest of us are down the hole... probably someone chihawk and Mordel can trust to not chug all the booze while we're gone."

"Ok, so who has what skills, or wants to volunteer for the jobs?

medics:

scouts:

demolitions:

fire-support:

pilots:

drivers:

rear security:

red-shirt:

other (specify):

Of course, if Mordel has another way of running this show in mind, I'll defer to him."
