Well, since everyone else is explaining who they are....
I am a former Draconis MechJock for the Solaris team. After a tragic loss/win, (both mechs obliterated, I walked away, he didn't) I was given a desk job and now run one of the training squads for new recruits onto the Solaris team. Before arriving on planet I was stationed in Rasalhague, so I have training in hand to hand combat in both traditional Japanese and Viking styles.
Currently outfitted with a regular jumpsuit for working on mechs, a standard sidearm with several reloads, a Japanese sword (take your pick) strapped to my back, a VERY wicked looking small Viking war axe hanging from my belt and several medkits in pouches on my legs and chest.

Hands Beebles a long range com unit from the crate besides him.
"Here you go Beebles."
Wonders how many antique dealers are ripping out chuncks of hair seeing weapons from 1000+ years suddenely put back into action. Looks around at all the gear.
"I hope to god someone is bringing rope."

If you think for one second I am even the slightest bit concerned about your so-called abilities you are mistaken.
Respect is earned, not given. Everyone that comes in here has to do earn the respect of others. Not one person here was given anything, everything was earned.
You want respect? Earn it like everyone else had to. To simply give it to you would be disrespectful to everyone else.

I don't know what we'll find in the tunnels, but I doubt there'll be enough room for vehicles, let alone vehicles "laying around". I was thinking of having pilots and drivers on standby back here in the B&G and at the airfield, in case we need to medevac someone. Of course, if some members of the SAR team have pilot and driving skills, that may prove useful afterall.

True enough, chihawk!
One_Eye, before you do any more posturing and etc towards the bartender, I'll suggest you find out what he packs when we pull out our weapons around here, the very few and rare times when we do. There's a reason why the rest of us usually don't give him any trouble (aside from the fact that he controls the flow of booze!). Lurch is just here so chihawk can focus on bartending.

I was about to say the same thing... I'll bring some rope of my own, since you can never have too much rope.

That's why you wear the red shirt under your armor
Don't worry, I'll be up front scouting with you, unless I get assigned elsewhere. I'm one of those jacks-of-all-trades types... I'm a pilot, mechwarrior, scout, intel, criminology, and a few other things I've dabbled in (mechanics, advanced first aid). Not the greatest at most of these things, but I do know which way to point the business end of my tools.
My load out:
Jumpsuit (with removable thermal lining)
soft safety vest, Level IIIa
portable air sensor, "Little Canary" type
pair of Glock .45s, with special ammo*
small frame Glock .45 (back up, standard rds)
pistol grip laser sights for pistols
silencers for pistols
3 extra mags for each pistol
Gerber special ops knife
50 feet high tensile strength lightweight rope
tactical vest/LBE
tactical radio/headset
2 first aid kits
2 compact rations
insulated canteen
camelback canteen
combat helmet
night vision/IR goggles with magnification
swiss army knife
handkerchief
10 q-tips (it's a quirky habit, what can I say)
lensatic compass
gps receiver
pilots license with medical and id (just in case)
army boots
filter mask
"Snoopy cap" cold weather helmet liner
flight gloves
2 pair handcuffs, and key
zip ties
ASP baton
pepper spray
flashlight with filter lenses, spare batteries and bulbs
army poncho (the heavy duty kind)
10 assorted color chem-lights
1 roll engineering tape
1 big roll duct tape
20 feet parachute cord
zippo lighter
waterproof survival matches
small survival mirror
survival blanket
small backpack to carry stuff
waterproof notebook
pencil
pen
watch with timer, stopwatch, and indiglo
change of socks and skivvies
bag of assorted rubber bands
*two different kinds of special ammo. One carries sodium-tipped bullets, the other cyanide-tipped bullets. Hey, I saw The Blob! Or at least the GI Joe cartoon making fun of the blob!
That should about do it. Looks like a lot, but it's small stuff mostly, and useful. Not too much in the way of rations, but I figure we'll turn back and resupply, or at least call in for resupply, if it looks like we'll be gone for more than a day or so.
Also, we'll have the base team back at the B&G on standby with the medevac vehicles (which can also do beer and twinkie runs, btw )
edited to add bag of rubber bands
