								| This one's been bouncing on Warner's for a bit and I was curious as to what everyone here thought.
It was suggested that once FanPro got to the end of what they could legally do, they go back and work with the game history prior to the 4th Succession War (which is currently only skeletoned out in a timeline format.)

 What do you all think?

								| I actually think it's a great idea. There are a lot of gaps in the BT history that could be filled in. I'm not a huge historian, but I know a little. I'm sure there are people who could pinpoint time frames left and right. _________________

								| I'd love to see them go back to the end of the Star League era and the 1st Succession War. Plenty of antagonists, and perhaps some new mech designs;some prototypes, and ones that didn't last long enough to make a mark in future BTech history.

								| Personally if they want to do some scenario books or whatever for that, have at it. I personally don't want to see the game get reverted back to that time line and have to be stuck in that again. I don't like stagnation and to me, going back to 3025 to 3030 time frame... would do just that.
But doing scenarios from certain things, sure. That would be fun. Maybe in the Star League Era too. Those would be good things, but let's keep the main timeline moving forward...

								| I would like to see everything develop from the Reunification War on. It would give a nice span of history, and space for people to have fun without tripping over each other. Admitted, The Unseen would probably have to be done up with new artwork, but I figure it would be worth it. The Davion war of the Princes and such would be a blast! There would be all sorts of skullduggery for Comstar, Nija would be realistic for the Kurita war of Shadows. There is just a bunch of fun there. It just lacks the canon material (new sales!) so everyone could be in sync for tournaments.

								| Honestly, I've been toying with the dea of asking for novels over the Amaris Civil War for a while now. _________________

Oh I like that idea. That would be great... And use it to tie into the beginning of the Clans. That has major possibilities!

Well, to each his own. I'm pretty sure that the BattleTech fans are split down the middle on where they'd like to be. Myself and a huge portion of people I play with would love to go back to 3025 and the days when 16 heat wasn't so bad!

I look at it as not really going back and being stagnant, but discovering "lost" documents, or something along those lines.

								| I'd like to go back to 2750 myself...3025 is fun to...I liked having a B-B-Q and Freezer in my mech in case I get stuck anywhere....
-Sir Henry, Preheat the Mech to 16, cook for an hour and Viola' Roasted You and you dinner. Cooked to perfection.

								| Well, as a bit of a joke if Ronin or I would have extra odd tonnage left over in the days before fractional accounting, we'd say that any left-over decimal tonnage would be diverted to make the cockpit extra roomy with a few amenities like a small restroom and a mini-fridge. One time we joked about putting in a speaker system and a large CD player. _________________

								| Haven't we all done that before. I'm sure everyone has used the extra slot in the head to place the BDS (Beer Dispensing System). Sure, it weighs a ton, but it's worth it. _________________

								| I've always thought a trilogy about Alexander Kerensky's life would be really cool. And I've always thought FASA should have come out with a few sourcebooks that would allow you to run a Battletech campaign in the Star League Era.
