Thought this might be interesting...

My Best victory, was one year at TotalCon, Casey had entered the weekend battletech tournament which you had to play three opponents by Sunday. Him being Casey was finding people willing to play him very scarce, so I told him that I'd play him for his third match later that night after I finished up a RPG game. I pretty much only entered the tourney to give him a decent match.

Well, my RPG finished early, and the battle he was fighting went late, so Darryl and I ended up in the bar. We were there long enough to get pretty sloshed.. Ok we were very sloshed, and when I showed up Casey was a little upset cause he didn't want to just kick my ass, he wanted a match.

It was a lance battle, and I wish I knew how I did it, but I didn't just beat him, I think I only lost a locust, and destroyed all four of his mechs (Locust, Pheonix Hawk, Rifleman, and Marauder). I thought Darryl was going to bust a gut he was laughing so damned hard. Ended up winning the whole tournament that weekend, but the battle against Casey was just sweet.

I don't expect that I could do that again easily.

For the record, Pin and I were so blasted that no one said a word when we walked into the gaming area (a non-alcohol area) each carrying an beer...I don't even remember going to bed that night.

Of course that wasn't uncommon back then.
