On a lark, I decided to take my "paper" unit's command lance and set it against some Clan 'mechs.
My lance
William "Big Bill" Anderson 1 piloting/1 gunnery: CP-10-Z Cyclops
"Lockdown" Rivers 1 Piloting/2 Gunnery: WHM-6R Warhammer
Piotr "Deadeye" Mikelovich 3 Piloting/2 Gunnery: DRG-2K Grand Dragon
Alexi "Cutter" Mikelovich 2 Piloting/3 Gunnery: TDR-5S Thunderbolt
Enemy Lance
Hellbringer (Prime) 3/3
Summoner (Prime) 3/3
Timber Wolf (Prime) 3/3
Mad Dog (Prime) 3/3
My Grand Dragon was the first to fall, caught in a crossfire between the Hellbringer and Summoner (but not before ravaging the Summoner's legs). Next to go down was the Hellbringer, with a lucky Laser burst from the Thunderbolt (all three Medium Lasers hit the head...ouch). After that was the Thunderbolt, who aquitted himself quite well before being felled from massive damage. The Summoner and Mad Dog went down next, victims of the Cyclops and Warhammer, respectively. Last to fall was the Timber Wolf, caught between a Cyclops engaging him in melee combat and a Warhammer slashing at his sides and rear with PPC bolts.
What a rush!

I played a pretty good scenario last night. This is all level one tech.
My side:
Grand Dragon
Panther x2
Jenner
Harrasser Missile Platform x2
Schrek PPC carrier x2
opposition:
Valkyrie
Rifleman
Enforcer
Whitworth
Sturmfeur Heavy Tank
Bulldog Tank x2
Zhukov Heavy Tank
I lost the two hovercraft, although they did a lot of damage to the Enforcer before they went down, and my Jenner took moderate damage (but not before it mugged the Valkyrie in a patch of woods and got two engine hits on a backshot center torso hit), and my Panthers took moderate damage, but I swept the Davion forces from the map (dead Fed Rats always make me happy)
