I started playing around with the idea of a non-combat station, and got this. Tell me what you think.

==Overview:==
Built as an automated refinery and construction facility, Elivor Station was
the biggest man-made structure in the Inner Sphere before its destruction in
2787.
==Capabilities:==
Elivor Station was a wonder of technology, housing everything required to
construct starships in one station. The refinery makes the raw materials used
by the parts manufacturing plant, which creates the equipment used to
construct space vessels in the ship construction bay.
With this elaborate, self-sufficient example of production methodology, Elivor
Station could create nearly any kind of space vessel, often several at one
time.
As the station represented a significant monetary investment, it had to be as
well-protected as possible. To that end, the station mounts over 140 laser
cannon, carries 360 fighter craft, and houses 1400 marines.
==Deployment==
Unfortunately, even these formidable defenses could not spare the station from
the predations of the Succession Wars. During the last of several battles for
control of the station between Davion and Kurita forces, it was crippled by
the nearby detonation of a thermonuclear device, and had to be abandoned.

I imagine this station would have pretty good value for Mechwarrior games. The players could be sent to recover some important piece of equipment from the construction plants or information from the computer. The station could be infested by some kind of space-based lifeform, and the players have to clear it out in preparation of the stations repair and reactivation. Heck, they could be tasked with STOPPING another team trying to complete one of those objectives. Hilarity is sure to ensue _________________ Evil is like a bowl of oranges. Oh, any space station of this magnitude is a great RP oppertunity. Thats why I have my A5 station in orbit around Solaris VII in some of my stories. I have it described as attempt for peice after the 4th Succession War, built by major corperations as a neutral ground for delegates to meet. It also serves as another spot for mercs to get contracts, a challanger to the Dragoons monopoly.
So if you ever want to do RP stuff on your station, i am sure it will work nicely.

I`f my memory serves me correctly u designed a space combat Mech a while back why not tie the two together say that the station is the only place left that produces this Mech

That's a VERY good idea. The station is the only place in the Inner Sphere capable of manufacturing some kinds of mechs/vehicles/fighters/space vessels, given that they require extremely sophisticated manufacturing techniques. I'll get to work on some unique designs! Wheeeeee!

The Spear class assault dropship was quite possibly the deadliest dropship
ever designed. Equipped with hyper-advanced engines and radically superior
armor, the Spear could move faster, hit harder, and take more damage than any
other dropship.

Thanks to the revolutionary systems the Spear carries, it is able to
outperform any vessel outside of a dedicated warship.
==Deployment==
Similar to its hyper-advanced cousin, the Shadow, the Spear could only be
manufactured in limited numbers, approximately 15 per year. Unfortunately,
most Spears were destroyed during the SLDF's drive to Terra, and during the
fleet's final attack. The few ships that survived were destroyed defending
Elivor Station, having been the targets of the nuclear attack that nearly destroyed the

Here are the specs for the advanced systems:
Super-XL Fusion Engine - X0.25 mass vs. standard engine, X40.0 cost.
Super-Carbide Armor - 1.0 armor bonus, X20.0 cost
Automated Fire-Control - 1,000 tons/unit, 12 mil. C-Bills/unit
Advanced Ferro-Aluminum - 1.26 armor multiplier, X4.0 cost
For comparison, here are the "normal" upgraded versions:
XL Fusion - X.50 mass vs. Standard Engine, X4.0 cost
Ferro-Carbide Armor - .4 armor bonus, X7.5 cost vs Standard Armor
Ferro-Aluminum (IS) - 1.12 armor multiplier, X2.0 cost vs Standard Armor
Ferro-Aluminum (Clan) - 1.2 armor multiplier, X2.0 cost vs Standard Armor
