This Summoner is the personal ride of the Clan version of my IS character (Jack "Warhammer" Ryan, who I invented specifically for this board).
Type/Model: Summoner (Thor) Custom
Tech: Clan / 3050
Config: Biped OmniMech
Rules: Level 2, Standard design
Mass: 70 tons
Chassis: Endo Steel
Power Plant: 350 XL Fusion
Walking Speed: 54.0 km/h
Maximum Speed: 86.4 km/h
Jump Jets: 5 Standard Jump Jets
Jump Capacity: 150 meters
Armor Type: Ferro-Fibrous
Armament:
1 ER PPC
1 LB 10-X AC
1 LRM 10 w/ Artemis IV
Manufacturer: (Unknown)
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: (Unknown)
Targeting & Tracking System: (Unknown)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
In all of its configurations, the Thor's main advantages over other
heavier 'Mechs are its mobility and its ability to fire all its weapons with
little worry about heat buildup. Apparently borrowing concepts from the
Warhammer, Marauder and Victor, the Thor is an excellent all-around 'Mech.
While the Thor may be less powerful than some and less quick than others, it
successfully blends heavy firepower and maneuverability.
==Capabilities:==
The huge Thor, which stands at least a meter taller than most other
'Mechs, appears most often in a configuration remarkable for its lack of
lasers. Its mix of weapons, however, combines with the 'Mech's maneuverability
to make it a deadly foe. This model carries a long-range missile launcher in
its left torso, a PPC on one arm, and a heavy autocannon on the other.
This variant, however, is customized to the tastes of a particular Jade
Falcon warrior, one Star Commander Jack. It has been refitted with an
Endo-Steel frame, downgraded the shoulder-mounted LRM-15 to a Artemis-equipped
10-Rack, removed one heat sink, and had a Targeting Computer installed.
Leftover space is given to the armor, which has been increased to 10 tons.
==Deployment==
The Thor is the heaviest design in general use among the Jade Falcons. It
appears much more often among the Falcons than the other Clans, and the
Falcons also use it differently. Other Clans use it as mobile support for
assault 'Mechs, while the Jade Falcons use it as a quick-striking hammer to
follow up a rapid advance.

Pretty similar to the regular Thor prime, but that's not a problem if its just your charecters custom ride.
Usually more missles will hit from an LRM-15 than an LRM-10 with artemis, so that seems like a downgrade to me. I would rather take the Prime over this, I believe it is cheaper too.

Downside: slightly reduced firepower from the LRM launcher.
Upside: more consistent damage from the Autocannon and PPC, thanks to the Targeting Comp.

Interesting. It has a Thor's flaws, I'm afraid. Reliance on a very few heavy weapons, and insufficent ammo for the AC.
Not to be picky or annoying, but how did he (you) get a custom built Thor? And I mean custom built - Thor's are built with 14 stock DHS, and standard internal structure. It's a nice machine, but it's technically not a Thor.

I rubbed the Ilkhan's belly and he granted me a wish. He's like a genie and Buddha rolled into one.
He laughed like the Pilsbury Doughboy, by the way.

To help set this Summoner apart from the other versions, I altered it again.
As for the Endo-Steel frame, I'm still going with my Ilkhan story.

Is this still an omni? Or are the changes integral with the internal stucture?
You could also give it a new name, say it is a new 2nd line design meant to be given to Eyrie stars (young front-line warriors) or something (because it's so high-tech).
As for the last incarnation of your design - it's very solid. However, I don't think the ATM3 is worth it - why don't you drop the lasers and use the three tons (2ML+extra tarcomp) to push it up to an ATM6 with another ton of ammo and, hey, you could still mount a flamer. Of course, that won't be as deadly, but why start with an ATM if you aren't gonna do it properly?
You could also convert it into a true flashbulb. But for a single solitary ATM mount, a 6 should be absolute minimum.

Oh, I didn't see the TC.
It looks like a change to the chassis itself becuase the armor value is different from the standard Thor on both.

Take three. It's now a completely new 'mech design.
EDIT: Tweaked fluff slightly.
Type/Model: Grimalkin Prototype
Tech: Clan / 3062
Config: Biped BattleMech
Rules: Level 2, Custom design
Mass: 70 tons
Chassis: Clan Modified Heavy Type X Endo Steel
Power Plant: 350 Dagda-Production Series A XL Fusion
Walking Speed: 54.0 km/h
Maximum Speed: 86.4 km/h
Jump Jets: 5 Clan Series Type 4 Heavy Standard Jump Jets
Jump Capacity: 150 meters
Armor Type: Mix IIIc Composite Ferro-Fibrous
Armament:
2 Series 7K ER Large Lasers
2 Series 2FM ER Medium Lasers
1 Adv. Tact. Msl. 9
Manufacturer: Manzikert Fabrication & Assy Plant Gamma
Location: Dagda
Communications System: Consolidated BMR3-CC
Targeting & Tracking System: Series VI TTS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
The Grimalkin surprised most of the Jade Falcon scientists who discovered the
design in a Smoke Jaguar data storage device their clan had claimed from the
planet Huntress after the Jaguars had been destroyed. The design looked almost
exactly like the Jade Falcon's own Summoner, but featured a very different
loadout. Apparently intended as a second-line 'mech for solahma clusters, the
Grimalkin has some curiously high-tech and expensive equipment, including an
Extra-Light engine.
==Capabilities:==
While designing a prototype, the Jade Falcon scientists in charge of the
project decided to add a few high-tech twists of their own, including a
targeting computer and one of the new Advanced Tactical Missile systems into
the 'mechs loadout.
For long-range engagements, the Grimalkin bases its firepower around a pair of
Series 7K Large Lasers. In the middle range, the 'mech can begin firing its
three Series 2FM Medium Lasers and single Advanced Tactical Missile system. To
help newer pilots in battle, or make experienced pilots even more deadly, all
the 'mechs laser weaponry are tied to an advanced Targeting Computer.
The rest of the 'mech is just as versatile as the weapons load suggests. Able
to move in excess of 86 kilometers per hour, and jump a very respectable 150
meters, the Grimalkin is no ordinary 'mech when it comes to maneuvering around
a battlefield. Wrapping up these impressive abilities is over 10 tons of Mix
IIIc Composite armor.
==Deployment==
There is only one Grimalkin currently in existence, the Prototype which is
undergoing deployment trials in the Peregrine Eyrie Cluster, piloted by one
Star Commander Jack.

Wow, great design!
Just a couple of small details:
Only Clan Jade Falcon designates their 'young' stars as Eyrie Stars - I am not even sure if such a thing as front-line training units exist for other Clans or not (yup, true Jade Falcon at heart, don't really care for any of the other Clans apart from Hell's Horses, and, much less so maybe Blood Spirit and Fire Mandrill - actually, used to love Nova Cats before their abjuration - but that is stuff for a different forum!).
And, just in personal preference, to me one ERPPC is worth 1 ERLL and 2 ERML - though it does a lot less total damage. That head-chopping capability is just too sweet..... But that is just personal preference.
Once again: good stuff!

If I were to go with an ERPPC, then the Grimalkin would run into some of the same problems as the Summoner: reliance on a couple of big weapons and not much else. The loadout is fine where it is.

I agree. Stick with it.
As it stands it's pretty flexible and has a potent long range bite.
