This one, I'm afraid, didn't quite turn out as well as I'd hoped. Something about it just doesn't feel right, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Any suggestions on how to make it/them better?

You may have to rename this line. IIRC the Raptor omni is in the 3058 TRO

Then why does the Perseus mount CASE as pods in two of its configurations? I think there's another canon Omni that does this as well.

I see what you mean. It's not that great, but for no precise reasons. Except for the C, the configurations seem off; not quite built around anything, I suppose.

Short of an XL engine, not really. I'm not happy about giving 'Mechs XLs needlessly, but here that would give you more pod space, which might let you perfect your configs.

You've also got plenty of crits lying around. You might want to try FF armor.

I reread the PM FAQ .pdf and you are correct, it can now be mounted in pods.

I added an XL engine, reworked the variants, and renamed it from the "Raptor" to the "Razor" (both are machines from the game Earthsiege 2 ). Unfortunately, where the most expensive variant of the Raptor was about 5.5 mil, the base chassis for the Razor comes to about 9 mil. So you now have the choice of buying a light-weight Omnimech, or an AS7-D Atlas.

Prime is the usual line skirmisher/harrasser, A is a barrage/AAA 'mech, B is a missile variant, C is for CQB (Close-Quarters Battle), and D is the scout design you'd probably expect from a 6/9 45 tonner.

For anyone wondering why the Razor D mounts a NARC system when it's clearly a flashbulb (like the three people who PM'd me asking about it), I say: think lancemates. And by lancemates, I mean Javelins. Archers. Bombardiers. }Smile

Why go half way? Get a Longbow or a Salamander.

The Narc on the D seems to make plenty of sense. It's a scout/spotter. A TAG might have been useful too.

And what's a flashbulb?
