Any one have one or has used one?

I have seen one and wanted it very badly. But the last time I looked, a 17 or 19 runs at least 800 bucks. Eventually the price will come down as they become more common. After all, can't run the latest greatest graphics card on an old-type anvil-weight monitor can I?

I have a flat screen and a laptop. I won't go back. I love flat screens.
I got mine for free, so I am biased.....

I have seen them in use once...and I was not up close so is the picture clear and better or not?

You guys are soft. I spent three years, 94-97 with an old IBM 12" VGA monitor. Save your money, the flat screen just reduces glare, the distortion by a regular monitor's bowing isn't all that noticeable.
Now if you are talking about a flat screen LCD panel, definitely save your money. Other than looking cool on your desk and sucking up lots of discretionary income there is no benefit over a regular monitor.

Up until last year I have an old IBM blue screen white letters monitor that happen to work nicely with my Circus Video Card...though the picture was very dark at times but it work and it was free...

| It depends on what ur gonna use it for. If you play lots of games then dont bother, they aren't good for framerates and can hurt ur eyes. Otherwise if you have extra money go ahead.
