Based on the idea of Vagabond's mobile barracuda launcher.

==Overview:==
Similar in concept to the rare tracked Barracuda trucks, these vessels are
capable of carrying the heavier White Shark missile. A given boat carries only
three missiles, and so must be reloaded by an ammo carrying boat. The
sea-going nature of these vessels gives them a strong defense, as
interplanetary attackers seldom give any thought at all to the seas. The
launcher vessel mounts 17 tons of armor, but is otherwise totally
defenseless.

The reload vessel is built on the same hull as the launcher, which simplifies
production and maintainance of both. The reload vessel also carries heavier
armor, to better protect its ammunition.

Occasionally, these boats will be grouped together, along with specially built
defensive vessels. These defensive vessels are again built on the same hull as
the others. While they are more expensive, they serve well in protecting the
group from aerial attack, as these vessels cannot hide as ground vehicles
might.

Great idea, but aren't Naval Missiles incapable of firing in atmospheres?

Otherwise, these look pretty cool...

I've never seen anything that says naval missiles can't fire in atmosphere. Anyone know about this?

I said that because under the Orbital Bombardment rules it said Naval Missiles couldn't be used, so Im guessing that that applies to non-bombardments too. I could be wrong though.

can somebody confirm that statement? In Battlespace naval missiles could be used, did they change it?

When I first Designed my Patrol Missile Craft there was a similar debate about atmospheric use of Capitol Missiles I eventually sidestepped the problem by designing the Erie Class Assault DropShip because there was a doubt about the ability to use capital missiles against fighters or ground targets in an atmosphere.
