Id like to get your opinion on the newest Technical Readout and the Technology it contains. _________________ "Slavish adherence to formal ritual is a sign you have nothing better to think about."

Artwork=shitty (save for Chaffee's Aerospace stuff)
Fluff= Medicore. Uninspired
Designs= Rehashed from the FMs and MechWarrior games. We already had them. Then the new ones are ineffective or just uninspired, but hey, they got new tech so it's OK.
Also, I noticed Warner Doles's name is in the Credits page. If I had know he was in there I never would have bought the book. Instead I just broke out the Magic Marker and try to forget.

If only more people thought that way, the world would be a happier (and more interesting) place.

I like TRO:3067. A lot. Ok, there are about a dozen (!) or so IS 'mechs that I hate. But don't all the other TROs have that amount or more, too (!!)? Well, we'll just discount TROs 3025 and 3026, because those are just soooo cool and perfect on a level that is just sickening.
What makes this TRO stand out amongst the previous ones are the number of 'mechs that I LIKED (rather than the ones that I hated). There is a whole bunch of IS 'mechs that are cool again. Sorely missed in TROs 3058 and 3060 (especially the latter). Actually, in respect for designs (but NOT artwork), TRO 3055 was better than the afore-mentioned. Same for fluff. I thought it had improved a lot in TRO: 3067.
Which designs do I like? Well, I don't have the book right here, but just going from memory: Looks: Osiris (Hell, the best of the lot!!), Razorback, Sha Yu, Stiletto, Chimera, Bloodhound (don't ask why - the torso section just appeals to me), Hellspawn, Argus, Templar. These are just the ones that I really liked. Many others are passable. Some are crap (Legacy, Ninja-To, the quads). Dislikes? The fact that lasers have joined the huge weapons (looking very similar to PPCs and ACs), but that is something that was started in TRO: 3058. And yeah, much as I hate it, I have to agree with Cadet that it sucks that WOB are pulling all these 'mechs (what, a quarter of all the new IS 'mechs?!?!) out of nowhere. Even more offensive: Basically all their 'mechs are the ones that are really shitty (apart from the Red Shift, which is kinda cool, the Vanquisher, which is passable, and the Ghurka, crap, really, but cool because of the broad-sword and the fact that it's manufactured in Germany).
Clans: I like all of these. The three best ones (as has been previously stated by others) are easily the Rabid Coyote, Bowman and Mad Cat Mk II. There are only three bad ****-ups: The Spirit, the Pinion and the Arcas. Funny thing: Two of these (S & A) were the two Clan preview-mechs on the website. Bad strategy, that. Much less funny thing: Two of these (S & P) are the only Jade Falcon 'mechs in this book!! Do they hate me so? Do they have to torture me by making my clan look foolish?!?

Oh, I forgot. I hardly play IS lvl 2. Mostly lvl 1 these days, hardly some Clan, no IS lvl 2. Well, the first IS lvl 2 'mech since TRO: 3055 that I just HAVE to field as soon as I get the mini is the Argus. Now, man, this is one 'mech that is approaching perfection. A great symbiosis of good looks (not as in 'good' good, but as in functional, dangerous-looking, warmachine-like good) and GREAT stats. Fast speed, adequate long-range weaponry, great shorter-range weaponry, very heavy armour, cold as a fridge! Only problem: XL engine, but nowadays nearly every 'mech has one of those. Damn, I love this 'mech, and I'm going to move heaven and earth (rephrased German proverb) to get my hands on one!!! _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

What irked me is that we paid for mechs we already had.
Beyond that, I think it is very interesting that you can tell just by looking at them which Mechs came from video games. They have that angular walkinf thank look. The rest have a sort of rounded Anime look.
