----------------------------------------------------------------------
Overview:
A new assault mech design coming out from the Draconis March no
less by Independence Weaponary which constitudes half of the DCMS
Atlas production, this Atlas spin off nicknamed the Bedlam is an
attempt to integrate artillery support into a mech thus allowing the
mech to have its own fire support.
Capabilities:
The massive Annihilator Sniper Artillery piece on the mech's
torso provide bulk of the Bedlam's firepower at range.
Capable of engaging enemies at great distances while still doing
splash damage, the Annihilator Sniper Artillery is simply devastating
even moreso against infantry and battle armor units. All this often
out of the enemies engagment ranges.
Thus a single lance of Bedlams can fire off a rolling barrage as the
monstrous mechs strides slowly and surely toward their targets or whats
left of their targets.
20 ample reloads supply the massive cannon and are all stored in CASE
equipment.
Backing up the massive main gun is an impressive battery of
lasers, a pair of Victory Nickel Alloy extended range large bore
lasers serve as the mech's direct fire main weapons while 5 Victory
23R medium lasers provide a good potent punch up close. 2 of the
medium lasers however have being mounted rearwards to discourage back
biters. Interesting enough, the Bedlam mounts a flamer at its left
leg which allows the mech to burn up the ground in front of him with
ease, a technique which is certainly useful against infantry and
vehicles.
Armor wise, the mech is as tough as the AS7-K but since it uses a
standard engine instead, the mech is much more reliable and much
cheaper to produce. It also uses no new advanced armors as well
making it easy to manufacture. The mech's defensive attributes are
further augumented with Matabushi Sentinel ECM system, which help
foils smart weapons.
Deployment:
Only produced in very limited quantities due to the limited
availability of the Annihilator Sniper Artillery piece and the rare
FireScan artillery target computer, but nevertheless the mech did saw
limited action in assault groups where its integral firesupport
design makes it devastating against fixed positions and battle armor
units and infantry.
