==Overview:==
The Mosquito Fast Attack Craft (FAC) has been one of Adon Industries most
successful item to date. Sales of the Mosquito have more then doubled since
events of the last three years. Vondor Imperium nation states have been the
main customers as have the Imperium's own military. Some have been sold to
other corporations and mercenary units as well as "political movtivated"
groups. Adon Industries has a cash and carry policy. Thus getting around most
of the laws of the Co-Alliance on sales of military grade weapons and systems.
The only thing needed is a legal bill of sale and the items are shipped, if
payment is made of course.
The Mosquito has seen tons of action and it's weapons are among some of the
galaxy's most tried and true. The Holly SRM 2s are well suited to role of hit
and run and the speed of the Mosquito gives it that extra punch needed to get
in and out of tight spot. The Averell Highpoint Medium Laser mounted in the
nose not only is an excellent ground attack weapon, it also allows the pilot
to engage enemy fighters as well.
Over all the Mosquito is a decent fighter as well as a ground attack craft.

It delivers what the name promises: small, fast, and cheap. Although the maximum thrust rating has me a little worried. The fighter can kick itself up to 7 gees of acceleration, which can have quite adverse effects on the pilot. At 3 gees, "redout" tends to occur. At 6, most people (unless aided by a gee suit) begin to experience "blackout".
Granted, most pilots today can handle up to 9 gees and remain concious, they only experience such forces for short periods during extreme maneuvers. An aerospace pilot will be experiencing those forces on his body for as long as his craft remains under thrust.
Perhaps the fluff can be modified to include mention of some special pilot equipment being neccessary?

Given the time frame and how far into the future the issue of gees and such would be covered by the suits worn by the pilots, I do see your point and it is possible to include something like you mentioned in the fluff to some degree.

There you go using logic again. It is scifi. you just need to accept it.

Using logic is not so bad, but having two tons of ammo seems too much to me.

The fighter is fast enough to keep at the hit and run attack and thus it will need the ammo.

I doubt it will use all the ammo with only 3 tons of fuel. If one ton of ammo is replaced with armor, it may work well as an interceptor(heavier weapons would be good for this role) and harasser.

First off it's not an interceptor per say, it can do the job, but it's not made for that solely.
I am not trying to min max the fighter, so adding more armor isn't going to be done. Min max is fine for something but it's a tad over done.
Read the fluff on the Thundercracker I posted, it will tell you about how the Mosquito get's used.

It is well suited for hit and run tactics, but it will run out of fuel before it will use all the ammo (it will be dead or heading back without fuel probably before making even 25 passes (1t of ammo) on the enemy even if it uses additional fuel reserves). For hit and run tactics I would rather use another SRM or laser. With this armor and fuel it may have smaller ammo reserve. If you don't use some kind of flying filling station, you must land to refuel (and rearm).

If the fuel becomes an issue you can always use external drop tanks. It's probably for the best anyway as the bomb load of a 20-ton fighter isn't that impressive.

Now there is an idea that can tackle the fuel issue.

Dog-fighting fighter with fuel pods is slowed down and you still need some fuel to return to base.
(Yes, I know that the maneuverability during hit and run mission isn't so important, but I still think that two tons of SRM-2 ammo is more than enough)

Not enough to really matter for the time frame of AT2...

You use the drop tanks first. Then you drop them.
