I have been watching it very carefully. As pessimistic as it sounds. I think everyone knew it was going to happen sooner or later. We have been to big a player in the middleeast recently. Although this is still a sick and barbaric attack. The Terrorists claim its a religious Jihad, Jihad my Ass. Using religion as an excuse to kill innocent people is something the west got over in the damn middle ages.

I very much admired both Tony Blair and George Bush's speeches. Especially blair by saying we will continue to be who we are. Were Britain for gods sake. Name a more stubborn race!

No matter what the god damn excuse is thought. Terrorism is a cowardly way to fight. They say that thr war is against western interference in the Middle east. I would say that
A) If your going to fight a war, do it against people who can fight back
B)September 11th was the reason we got involved. And terrorism isnt going to stop intervention. It will just strengthen are resolve to wipe these cowardly pigs off the face of the earth.

Just makes me so mad that people can be like this. I have always said that Battletech is the more realistic future for the human race. The Star Trek unified human race working in harmony just wont work. Ever.

On Rush Limbaugh's show, he was calling the London Bombing a failed terrorist attack. And I agree, it was.

They hit half a dozen places and apparently could not even manage to kill 10 people per bomb at the height of London's rush hour, with about a million targets using the public transit system at the time. 40 some people killed and about that many more seriously wounded? Just one bomb should have done that much, it did in Spain.

Their explosives were too weak or too little, inadequate to what they thought they would achieve. Not to mention that Britain is very much the wrong place to try achieving it. The British do not cower when attacked by cowards, or did these fools miss noticing all those IRA bombs that failed to get the IRA one single gain?

Heh, and as thread on another site mentioned, these fool terrorists also forgot about the Ghurkas. The Ghurka are likely going to want to express their displeasure over this cowardly and incompetent attack on London.

Then both of you would be wrong.

Based on current evidence the bombers used bombs that would fit in backpacks and were under 10 pounds a piece.

The death toll will be over 50, 22 were critically injured, and another 80 required at least a one night stay in the hospital.

Everyone know politically most terror attacks are failures, but the "physical" attack seems to have done pretty much what one would expect based on the size of the explosives used.

The problem is, it is just as it said, a terror attack. Are you going to use the London underground now? Most yes but it makes people very uneasy.

But i agree, Britain is the wrong target for terror attacks. 3000 years of invasions, subjugation, constant hatred from the continent. And above all the dear old british stiff upper lip, stiff assed attitude. We survived the Blitz for gods sake, that was a full blooded campaign to break the countries spirit. Frankly, what are a bunch of cowardly fighting measely bombers going to do.

The newsies got me. All the time on TV they kept saying the death toll was around 40 or so, but tonight after work I read a story on Fox news website that finally mentions that don't count the bodies still down in the subway. The story writer seemed to know how many dead were still down there, so why the hell couldn't Fox news just mention it isn't 40+ or dead but more like 100 or more?

CNN did it too. If they knew it was more then that why did they keep reporting a much lower number and acting like that was all who got killed?

It would seem Rush fell for it too, have to wait till Monday to hear about it.

The wave of interest in "protecting" the cities is in full swing too. What hogwash.

There is no way to fully protect all possible targets, not if you put every adult in the country in a uniform and put us all on guard duty could this be done well enough to stop all terror attacks. If they see one thing protected, they just look for something that is not protected. The only true way to protect from these terrorist is to figure out where they are and go kill them there before they get around to coming into your town.

There is a better chance of being struck by lighting there there is of being a victim of terrorism.

Still, are you more afraid of walking in bad weather or taking a train or bus when a day or so before 5 were targeted by bombs and completely torn to shreds

A gamer-cartoon website had the following quote:

"I've been blown up by a better class of bastard than this." --A Londoner who survived the Blitz and was caught up in the Canery Wharf blast.

www.dorktower.com has an interesting cartoon about how a society can take something like this in stride. Could be the food.....

Forgive the nit picking, but Gurkhas are not even British. They are Nepalese and they are in a sense, Mercs.

That being said, they are vey reliable, competent mercs..

I agree completely. Basically there are a bunch of drug high and drunk arabs over the e with a couple pounds of semtex or C-4, and they do not know what to do with it. So they strap it to their chests and go blow up people and buildings claiming it was God's Will. If it was God's will to kill innocent bystanders, he does not need some arab to do it for him. He could.....use a volcano or an earthquake. The point is there is no point in the attacks. They are not going to stop us, only make us fight harder and stronger.

Can we spell politics here?
It isn't about religion. Believe me.
Besides any talk of politics and religion should stay in the Saloon.
