As Vagabond said. With the exception of its BV, its hard notto like perfection.

Nothing wrong with it, except it's on the wrong army list.

It's too easy. It's too easy to win with, and too easy to create variants for.

I dislike it because it's so dang overplayed. Anytime I have any player with clan mechs they always try to include at least one.
I like to blow them apart. Especially like to blow them apart with inferior designs and watch the player's reaction to it.

I must agree with Seraph. I dislike the Madcat because a lot of people I play use them.
They are every where it seems and it makes me feel even worse when I lose to them.

I like em as a rare treat on the battlefield. A bit like they were in Mechcommander 1, even though I had two Atlas' and an Awesome. There was something unnerving about them.
Dislikes, They are, as said before. Very overused. Other than that their great.

I've got mixed feelings about it's speed.
On the one hand, getting a chassis of that size moving at 5/8 means a huge, inefficient engine. Comparing the Mad Cat to the Nova Cat or the Night Gyr it suffers a definite disadvantage in armor and firepower.
On the other hand the speed definitely gives a commander much greater tactical flexibility. It also lets you mix heavies into medium stars to provide more backbone without sacrificing mobility.
