I just got back home after seeing this movie...for those of you who like Batman...GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
THIS was the epitome of what Batman is to me...I almost went and bought tickets for the next showing after I got out of the movie theater...everything was virtually perfect!
It simply blows away any other Batman movie...and easily matches, if not exceeds the animated series in my mind...

Better than the animated series? Hmm...
Side question: how'd they treat Scarecrow? Well? Did he die at the end like all the other villains seem to?

I thought he was pretty well done, if not seen enough...the first half or so of the movie was background and the training of Bruce Wayne to become Batman...Scarecrow only became really involved in the last quarter or so of the movie...
And no, he did not die...

Have no fear, I intend to watch it when it comes to a theater near me.

A local tabloid gave it 5 out of 5, not even the LOTR trilogy had that. So it has to be good.

I was very impressed, and I agree with Jim Gordon when he says, "Man, I gotta get me one of those!"

Although I did have a couple minor points I was slightly annoyed on, it was actually a pretty good movie.
And just to make note of those minor points...
After 20 years, the only people that aged at all were the two kids? You'd think they could have splurged a little on some make-up and/or hair-dye.
Given the uniqueness of the car, wouldn't someone have noticed and/or questioned where Batman would have gotten what was suppose to be a prototype for the army that was previously sitting in Wayne Towers?

Why? It's comics land, where people can't put 2 and 2 together even if it's as simple as realizing Clark Kent is actually Superman wearing glasses.

Well after much anticipation and drooling over the trailers, Batman begins is finally coming ot the base here in Yokosuka Japan this weekend. We seem to be behind by about 2 weeks or so, but we did get Star Wars on the same day/a day later then you all (due to the time difference).

It does follow more of the dark knight tradition than the TV series, or the Detective comic style.
I liked it, it avoided being the special effect fiasco of Batman & Robin, and the Stars mugging for the camera of another episode.

depends, no body, but what happened to him may have effectively killed him anyway.

My only objection is that it seemed far less like Batman and more like The Shadow (the radio series, not the Alec Baldwin movie). Then again, that whole industry is built on creative incest, so it's not much of an objection. _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."
