								| The Kamazuchi battle armor from the DCMS field manual. Why? Well at the time is was like holy crap it's got a medium laser and two srm racks and can take a clan PPC hit.
It's also one of the few designed I've gotten to use in a game before my leave of absences from Battletech and it held up quite well.

								| Well if you want speed take a looky at the Lyran battle armor from that field manual. A squad of those look to stand a good chance of going toe to toe with a 20 ton mech and whooping it.
Then again it depends on how you play it to. I used the Kamazuchi battle armor with the 50 ton hover apc in a city enviroment playing defense.

And if this battle armor making program I just got is really following the rules I can make a squad of quads with 4mp ground speed, 10 points of armor and pack two medium recoiless rifles. You get hot dice it threatens some medium mech designs. I suspect a new world opened up with the battle armor construction rules and we just don't know it yet.

								| I'll stick with the "standard" BA, just because of it's general-purpose nature. Specialists always tempt you to go for specialist situations, losing the initiative if the enemy doesn't fall in your trap. And the spare parts are rare enough.

								| I like the Achilles and Longiese (excuse the horrible spelling) battle armors. The standard BA and Elementals also fit the bill nicely. The extra large BAs attract too much fire. | |

								| I've a liking for Infiltrator IIs. Good speed, Stealth and the Gauss Rifle makes a neat combo. I also favour standard inner sphere or clan BA.

But my absolute favourite (clan wise at least) is the Salamander
   Burn heretics!!!!!

								| I like elemental armor and Longinus armor. They're fast enough to be useful for disrupting a formation of enemy 'mechs, especially if you mount them on some sort of carrier.

								| I've always enjoyed the Grey Death Scout armour. It looks awesome, atracts little attention, and can ruin a unit by hitting it with TAG and waiting for the Arrows of doom.

								| Since Protomechs are Protomechs and Battlearmor is Battlearmor... I'd go with no.

								| Standard elementals - the original is still the best.
Salamandar is also nice. Not fun for a unit in a large forsest with Salas hidden in it, they're also great when using the 2 heat instead of damage rule for flamers.
