Well someone said that they never saw any sort of landing craft when talks of wet navies came up. The only thing I really dislike is the way they do engines for the ships. The second one needs to have a better speed but it just cant be done with the way the rules are for the game. But I really like the Light landing craft, could be a very interesting addition to a campaign. 2.7 billion for a landing craft. And MOST of that is engine cost, but if you go with anything else you cant get anything on it. /shrug

==Overview:==
In early 3066 the Federated Suns high command ran into some issues with the
all water worlds in the outer rim. They had a colony of pirates move in and
cause major problems for the planet and the inhabitants of the few colonies
there. It was after a considerable amount of time and money was spent trying
to find the pirates that Davion High command decided to bring back the wet
navy. This design is still on the drawing boards but may be a very useful
design. So far extensive combat simulations have been run in which several
design flaws were found. In the course of the simulation tests these have been
fixed in the design and when it gets approved may be moved forward into actual
production.
==Capabilities:==
The New Avalon Light Landing Craft is a fast heavily armored landing craft. a
smaller mech bay can still hold a wide array of mechs or vehicles for
deployment. Though unarmed the NALLC does mount 4 Anti Missile systems. And
with a heavy cruiser or 2 in the area the NALLC should be able to get in and
deploy up to 55 tons of equipment in a short amount of time. The biggest plus
to these craft is the small price tag and are going to be produced in a fairly
large number.
==Deployment==
Currently the first and only of the new ships out of the simulation phase the
NALLC's are going to follow the same naming policy as the standard LC's.
Currently the NAN Mirage, NAN Offerman, NAN Skepptana, NAN Small World, NAN
Terra Firma, NAN Udibi and NAN Xosha VII were the first out of the run, and
were named for planets in the system. A second and third run are planned and
should be sea worthy soon.

Slow and ponderous the New Avalon Landing Craft 1's are heavily armored and are
capable of withstanding some of the most concentrated fire around. A 100 ton
cargo hold allow the NALC's to hold a wide variety of units to be ferried in
for deployment. For protection the NALC's have 4 LRM 5's with 4 tons of ammo.
This ammo load out is very flexible and allows the landing craft to carry
smoke, swarm, and standard LRM's. 3 Thunderbolt 5's round out the weaponry.
Mechs and vehicles are able to make use of a few weapon ports to lend their
fire to the landing. Other than that the LC's need to rely on the support of
the rest of the main battle group.
==Deployment==
Currently there are over a dozen of the Heavy LC's in the works. They exist
only in the sims at this time and it appears that when they do start building
them they will use the designations of Planets for their names. NAN New
Avalon, NAN Defiance, NAN Carmichael, NAN Point Barrow are expected to be the
first off the line.
