==Overview:==
This is the personal mech of Colonel Jack Tanaka, escaped former commander of the Free Rampage Company. His old Marauder MAD-3R was destroyed in battle with surprisingly Elite planetary guard forces on Dustball during a black operation. Being rather fond of the design the Colonel decided to repair one of the salvaged enemy machines, a MAD-5S. The Gauss rifle on the mech had exploded, disabling it. As it happened Master Tech Hudson had a plan involving a black market purchase of a Mydron LB-20X AC. The 5S Gauss Rifle was replace with the mammoth AC, making this one of the most fearsome Marauder variants one can find. The Colonel's Elite status helps a lot, but even regular pilots could do horrible things with a mech like this.

Yes, it does look a bit odd once you get close enough to see the huge hole that is the Mydron AC's barrel... But you're not going to be staring at it for very long!

personally i would downgrade the pulses to regular mediums for more armor plating at the sides and centre torso.

that XL engine is too much a worry.

I agree with Bladewind. The Pulse are really garbage. I would say either regular medium or even ER for the range. More armor is a must that little change would give you 2 more tons which would be much better.

All in good time! The thing was just put back in service, remember? Going with ordinary medium lasers (or ERs) is certainly a good idea once you get your hands on some.

ER lasers and two tons armor, check. The ranges fit nicely together with the LB-20X.

At a later date the MPLs will be replaced by ER Medium Lasers, the extra weight
going to beefed up armor.

It´s the original -5S with an LB20-X replacing the GR. So i think it´s in line with the fluff even when not max`ed.

Just small thing - LB 20-X and ER meds are at least 3060 tech.

Yes. Now it has acceptable armor for its size and timeframe. The only regret is the XL engine, but only a minor one. This is exactly what XLs are for: loading up on weapons.

It's errily similar to a Marauder I've used in MW4: Mercs, although that mostly used Clan tech. (it didn't work any other way)

Ah hah much better. The backup energies and the Lb-20x range tied together and the beefier armor will allow this MAD wander in close to put some big bore shells as opposed to hanging back and waiting for them to come.
