On the first, I think ENF-6T (3067, 50 tons). The CASE and extra laser are good, but it lacks the TC to make full use of the gauss at long range. And it has less armor, too.
On the second, I think that I don't like light gauss rifles. Better to find the two tons for the real thing, I think. The total lack of close-in weapons is risky. It's a decent sniper, but light on firepower and has to worry about Locusts and Nightskys (Nightskies?).
I don't think that either is great, but neither is terrible, either. Just not my style.
