Anybody else heard about these? Are they a hoax or are they legit? Several of them make good sense!

I've heard it said that FASA re-designed the clanner omnis a bit after lengthy playtesting. They were just too good to be true against the available IS forces.
This is why the artwork in TRO3050 doesn't always match up with any listed config of the omnimech.

Per the writers, they have found no evidence of any truth to the Mk1 versions after digging through the material at FASA prior to its closure (most were not around at the time)...this has already been asked over at classicbattletech.com...

So they admit they have no clue and instead of saying so, they do what has always been done, "It doesn't exist". Wow...just like no one can find the original Behemoth stats or the original Vulcan/Rifleman Battledroid stats etc...
Amazing how something can be forgotten once the fans point out an issue or two about things...oh well another round of them doing what they want and ignoring what is right their in front of them...

But as Ruger says FanPro and TPTB claim they never were designed, but hey the artwork does speak differently, but then again claiming something doesn't exist is better then admitting they forgot about it or lost the info over time.

In all honesty, I don't read other boards, so the fact it was asked on another matters little for my request for an answer, because it was an unknown source until now.

Yes, the Mk. 1 Omnis ARE real. I've seen the record sheets for them. Official FASA ones exactly like those found in the old city tech boxed set. My old GM has several of these that he got when he attended a BT Con.

I got these from Deathshadow.
Would there be any way of getting copies or scans of those old sheets?
I would LOVE to get some of them....

Well, I've been out of contact with this guy for almost 7 years, and I've moved a few times heh. Next time I go back down to Grand Rapids I'll see if I can find him hanging out at the shop where we used to play. BTW this is the person who taught me BT and got me totally hooked on it
