Well, you can go to water or vacuum, only once, but it's possible.
Oh, and I would like to know what for do you need that pistol, pebbles are free

I find pebbels too inaccurate. Plus they dont really have enough punch...

You don't need punch at all, you just need to surprise the pilot. When you hit him with pebble he'll probably loose balance and fall down.
