								| Thanks! Do you know where the photocopied sheet originated from? Maybe it's from Stardate? As far as I know, BattleTechnology never published this one.

It could be StarDate, not sure the format is same one BT used. I will keep an eye out...

								| I love this 'Mech. I worked up a copy for MegaMek and have used it the last couple of matches I have been in. It kicks butt!
I was having a little bit of an overheating problem so decided to trade out the PPC for a Larege Laser and a pair of Medium Laserss. You also could do the PPC for an Laser Laser, Medium Laser and Heat Sink.

								| Yeah, thanks for that.
So allow me to rephrase my original reply above:

From which obscure source did you get that? Are the more goodies hidden there?

Because I gather it is not a home-brew, right? It ain't StarDate or Battletechnology. Don't think it's Space Gamer, either, but I'm not 100% sure on that one....

								| The person who gave me the photocopy of the stats said it was from StarDate. So I am going with that as the source.
It would be nice if Randall or someone would give a listing of the older mechs, ie the old ones that came out between the 1st ED of the game aka Battledroids and the 2nd ED aka Battletech box sets, that listed who made them, when and what they appeared in. Given that now some of these have shown up in the Tech Manual in the mech listings....

								| Thanks for the info - I am fairly confident in falsifying the StarDate claim - I have almost all of them and know what's in the one that I'm missing....
But I'd love to be proven wrong. Was there a write-up or pic included with those specs?

As far as Battledroids are concerned, I only know of the 2 (Gladiator and Battleax - 3 if the Falcon counts) in Battletechnology and the Cestus in Space Gamer.

I'd too love a listing of the old, old stuff. Apparently there were other configs for some old classics as well (I know this for sure about the Shadow Hawk and Spider - which isn't even BD era).

As far as the listings in TW, I think they are the harbingers of a new read-out. Looking at the track record, I highly doubt that they will dig out old specs for them, though. Much rather, I suspect that new ones will get made up.

								| The Firebee was one, the Behemoth along with the Vulcan, no not the one from the TR3025, this was more of a different take on the Rifleman mech.
As for the Crossbow, no write up just stats, either way the mech is one of the mysteries of the game and one that could be explained away or dealt with in away to keep the older fans excited, since it's something that has been there from the begining...same for some of the other mechs that have been mentioned and nothing really done with them.

								| Arise, another dead thread! This is what happens when I go through my old posts - I was looking for another thing but I happen to resurrect this one, a thread which was first resurrected in 07 - 5 years after originally posted.
Anyways, I would love it if Karagin could give us some more details on the design above (once he returns).

I can now definitely confirm that it was not printed in StarDate or BattleTechnology. I also think it is not out of Space Gamer, Challenge, White Wolf, etc. "Legion of Phoenix" had one in their online-TRO, but that was a lvl2 variation of the Crusader, if anything. So, once again: what is the source of the above?

We can also now confirm that TPTB of BattleTech have reintroduced a whole bunch of old BattleDroids in TRO: 3075 - the Battleax and Gladiator were both based on their BattleTechnology originals; the Crossbow and Firebee were added and given official stats (for the first time?).

There still is nothing for some other BattleDroids - the Behemoth, the Hornet, and the Vulcan remain completely unstatted. Or have you guys got anything on them?
