Not a whole lot in the way of speed there. Great for assaults though. Still, a bit more specialized than what I'm looking for.

I'd go for the Spiders myself. That company is already killer. The command lance is vicious; strong fire support lance (classic Regulan Hussars configuration too), and with two Spiders in the recon lance you'd have unbeatable mobility.

I liked Nightmare's company, especially his command lance. I havn't seen a very creative recon lance yet.

Why bother with the Cicada...I never could stand the damn things, just on principle...except for the ones packing a PPC...those I like.

One of the nastiest recon lances I've used contained two Assassins and two Spiders. They can't fight anything bigger, but they're good at getting away.

It's available, you may replace it with second 2M Hermes, Assassin, even Ostscout or Jenner.
I wanted recon lance that would be able to move at least 7/11, but with the PPC shortage I decided not to field CDA-3C.
