So lets get this party started. Mordel has graciously granted me a forum for this game that will be available as soon as he can add it. Until then, I will continue to handle the game via this topic.
OK Commanders, it is now time for use to start this thing. In order to do this I will need this following information from you:
1] a confirmation that you have scanned the rules over.
2] which color section you would like?
3] the name of your faction, your Commander name, and an image you would like as your banner. [200w,200h max]
4] three planet names for your faction and if you would like the color changed. please provide the RBG or Hex #.
5] what version of Megamek and what optional rules do you want to use.
6] last but kinda optional, i would like a paragraph or two about you for your Commander Page. if you wish to use a picture of yourself here instead of your banner, you need to send me that pic. [200w,200h max]
Send any pics and any Commander Page info to this e-mail: vagabond4@cox.net with the word Campaign in the subject.
I ask that everyone get #1 thru 5 in to me fast. #6 can be given at anytime during the Campaign, yet I would like it in before the game starts. #6 is just one of those things that will increase your and others enjoyment of the game if you get involved.
After this information is in, we will begin doing the mathematics for your force creation and then allocating those points into your pools. While doing all of this, I would like you all to be thinking of names for your warriors so that they are named once you allocate your forces.

Not sure about the banner thing, I have little computer art skill.
As for color I am all for purple and grey...

the greys are non-territory squares. basically, they are just place holders so the image would not be complicated to make.
as for the banner, you just select any image. it could be any BT faction flag, an anime character, anything. it just has to be something you like and want as your banner. it helps if its avalible online so you do not have to draw a new one.

1] Done, but just a basic skim. Downloaded to my comp so I can read after work tody, fully read that is
2] Don't care what section I'm in, but I'd like the color changed to: R:80 G:130 B:100
3] Faction: Blighted Sun, Commander: Ralgith t'Mayasara, Image: Avatar Which is hosted on my site and you can link directly from there if you want.
4] Planets: Roseguard, Isis, and Wolf III (Systems: Rose, Ra, and Wolf 359)
5] Newest stable, (0.30.6), with at least advanced movement modifiers... I'd say allow one pilot on each team to have pilot skills of some kind also... like tactical advantage.
6] I'll get to this later.

MaxTech Pilot Advs (Just on main pilot.. maybe have to earn these by spending points on them?)
MaxTech movement mods
MaxTech Fire/Smoke
MaxTech LOS
MaxTech Partial Cover
Unofficial Rules:
Vehicles Can Be Abandoned
Blind Drop & Real Blind Drop
Woods Have a Chance to Burn Down
Arty Scatters by Margin of Failure
Arrow IV Homing Target Area (Reduces from mapsheet to 8 hexes)
Anyways, these are all just my personal likes because they give a more realistic feel to the game.

I agree completely with that set of rules. I'd like my sector to be light blue, and 0.31.0 is the megamek I use. Oh yes, I never did get a hang of how to use artillery, so someone tell me how...
I read the rules and all...I think Im set there.
Details on setup--
Faction- 99th Lyran Regular Expiditionary Force
Leader- Lt. Colonel Karl Kalashnikov (who, incidentally, carries around a moderized and updated AK-103...)
Planets- (Don't ask...I had a mental block)
Planet 1- Hochkonjunktur
Planet 2- der Platz
Planet 3- trou d'enfer
Okay, so, how many of what kind of lances do we get?

If someone wants to give you a explination that would be cool; however, i am running a lvl1 3025 mech only game, so you will not have any artillery.

Aren't Long Toms level 1? 3025 has a long tom vehicle in it...

Ok, so far we have two requests for 0.31.0 and one request for 0.30.6. Just waiting on Rigel.

Yes they are lvl1; however, as i highlighted above in the quote, this is a 'Mech only campaign. Their will be no vehicles. Only Mechs.

What ever the latest stable is...I hate crashes when playing online it is slow enough as it is.
I like your standard options, I tend to shy away from advantages.
I am going to work this some today, Come to think of it I have not yet installed MM on this computer I just built it last week..... I wonder how MM will run on a dual core.

Ok, that is 0.30.6. Oh, considering I just looked at the version and no 0.31.0 is even on their we will be using 0.30.6.

An AMD or Intel Dual Core? XP?
I can comment from experience that it is a beautiful thing. I'm rigged with a AMD 64 4200 X2. I do not believe that MM supports multi-threading, so it will not use both cores for processing at the same time; however, you can set all your system processes to cpu0 and then place MM on cpu1 via the Task Manger's Set Affinity function. You will get no system drag that way. You can also host multiple clients, with RAM being your limiter, without interupting your music, lol. I often run a player client on cpu0 and a bot client on cpu1 to great effect. If the bot client fizzels, your system will not turn into a non-responsive paper weight. I love my new rigg.
