I was the first to find it!
Anyway Wiki is the oracle of all knowledge, put in something very obscure and you'll find it. I even put in things like Daishi, or Anti-Aliasing (wondered what it meant in games!)
Even Snake Rattle and Roll's on thier, a really old and rare Nintendo game, it rocked!

Check out their GURPS sections. they even have a site for playing it.
I found it when I was helping my kid find some facts on the Cold Fusion. and have been hooked on it since. I refer all my kids to it when they have to do reports for school

I even use it for my University work! The great thing is, at university things that are just taken from the air, without an actual authors reference and so forth, are frowned upon and looked upon badly. But the great thing about Wikipedia is with a bit of navigational practice you can almost always get back to the source of the information. Which is usually a book or an official website, which are authorised references.

I use it for fun and preliminary (which is to say, would never, ever, in a million-bajillion years ever be cited in a paper) research.
The idea of a Wiki is brilliant. One of my professors is expirimenting with writing on-line books that are wiki-fied so that, eventually, all scholastic work on a topic would be cross-indexed on line. We're doing small scale work on it now, just linking stuff that's been written and refereed here at Missouri State.
The Wikipedia, however, is far from reliable and many of it's articles aren't of the greatest quality, particularly on well known and controversial topics. As such, I'll use it to find key words, or pop-cultural references, but then I use a library. _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."

the funny thing is that the fictional articles are often of higher quality than the "serious stuff." Battletech articles on there are of only so-so quality...a problem I hope to address when I have the time someday...but look at the Star Wars articles. Who needs to buy the books, just read about it on wikipedia. I'm surprised Lucas hasn't tried to crack down on it.
